I see a lot of people here saying to sign Leon for a minimum two year type deal so the C's can keep him and get value out of him while taking care of Leon for past successes.

But the assumption there is Leon would take that type of contract. I think maybe the reason the C's are walking away could be that Leon and his agent are asking for some pretty unreasonable contract for a guy that just had his 4th very serious knee injury.

I think Leon priced himself right out of a future with Boston.

At first, I thought that I would be OK if Leon signed with another team because I want to see him succeed, even if he isn't playing for the C's but it would really bug me to see him play for the Cavs... I hate this team and I would hate even more to see Leon play against us in the playoffs so I hope that he re-signs someday with us (though very unlikely) or that he signs with a team other than the Cavs (or Lakers).

But first of all I wish him a good recovery.

Leon Powe on the Cavs is my worst nightmare.  I want to see this guy succeed more than anything but seeing the Lebrons lose is right up there.  I hate Lebron and I hate Ohio.

somehow, even if cleveland signs him, it doesn't worry me at all. I just don't see leon contributing to the cavs in any way at all this year. The guy is coming off his 4th knee surgery, I don't know how effective he will ever be again. That said, even if he was 100% healthy, he would get burried on the cavs bench. Leon has a very limited game, and his defense sucks.
