He will never play for this team. I hate him more than Vick... I will never forget him puffing out the "Puerto Rico" on his jersey right at us when they kicked our National Team when they were down.

Punk.

He's not really that good either...

Don't be a sore loser. I guess it's alright when the "Dream Team" is blowing teams left and right, and showing up other teams with their dunk exhibitions?

It was the Olympics, a David vs. Goliath battle, and David won. There's a ton of emotion in it, and I'm willing to bet that the "Dream Team" was trash talking as hell throughout it.

I'm from Israel, and I watched him here playing for Maccabi. He's terrible. He only cares about himself and shouldn't have any business with a championship contending team. Oh yeah, and lots of turnovers and missed shots.

what has he been doing the last few years?  I don't think he's been playing in the NBA.  If he is still the carlos arroyo from a few years ago I think he would be just as a good an option as anyone else.

As Jeff said on the front page recently, no matter who we select at this point to play back up PG, they're gonna have some warts.

Just because he did not play in the NBA last year does not mean that hes not good enough too.Look at Josh Childress and Linas Kileza. He simply got a better deal to go overseas.

Oh, I wasn't trying to make a point...I was actually asking for knowledge purposes, what has he been doing the last few years?  I didn't remember hearing his name around the NBA, but you did indirectly answered my question anyway.  So, he's been playing in Europe.  Anybody know how long he's been over there or how well he played?  Does he still resemble the Carlos Arroyo of a few years ago playing for the magic?

Oh, I miss interpreted. I know he choose to play for Israel last year. He just turned 30 and I would think he has a year or two left in his prime.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

He can do it all don't sleep on him!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I'm not gonna lie, Arroyo can straight up ball. He can shoot the lights out, he has great handles and he can pass with the best of them when he wants to. He even led Maccabi Tel Aviv to the Israeli championship this year...

With that said, keep him away from my team! Arroyo has worn out his welcome on every team he's ever played for. He has really bad attitude problems and has been a headache for almost every coach he's ever had. I've heard Maccabi Tel Aviv doesn't want him back after he led them to a championship. That shows you the kind of character he has.

How do I post my comments?
i'd definitely sign him.
but there must be something i'm missing here. why was he out of the league? from what i remember he could play. good shooter, played hard. killed team usa a few years back. but then i guess a lot of international players did for a while there.
i thought he was even a fan favorite in orlando with the local puerto ricean community.
i have no idea what happened to him. my guess is that he wanted more money than was offered here, but i'm sure someone on the board knows more than me.
anyway, if it was no major issue, i'd give him a shot. marbury's got more natural talent, but arroyo may be a better fit chemistry-wise.

He thinks he's better than he is, is arrogant, and has alienated the coaching staff everywhere he has played.

I think Arroyo would be awesome as a back-up pg for us, but doubt he would sign for the minimum with us to back up Rondo. he could sign with another team and get much more PT at least.
