Now, the question is why is this combination so hard to find in the league these days?

It's always hard to find. Dominant big men like that win titles, usually multiple titles. Only a few come along each generation.

Garnett, Duncan, Shaq, Robinson, Hakeem, Kareem, Russell, Wilt, Mikan, etc.

Well yes, if you're talking about the known franchise ones like Hakeem or Chamberlain, however, there are the Wes Unselds & Dave DeBusscheres who simply combine their natural talents with a very work ethic oriented game, see our Powe, and produce results which players like Boozer don't produce these days despite having a good team around them. Realize, the major reason why we lost in '75 was because Cowens was asked to cover Unseld on a sprained ankle. No chance of that.

Could you imagine Powe being three inches taller. He would be like Amare Stoudemire

Add five inches and he'd get there. I think just without his knee injuries he'd be a starting caliber player, at least athletically. Multiple scouts have said that he lost quite a bit from those HS surgeries.
