Rebus, congratulations on the WC semis victory... You were a deserving winner and a class act as owner. The game could have used a couple more RebusRankins this year.

That said, I do have to vote Portland. The Brothers O'Neal will definitely body up Howard enough to keep him away from the basket in the halfcourt. No way the big guy can outmuscle Shaq on the block if O'Neal gets position first. The Crotornat depth is just too much IMO. If Howard doesn't dominate games, I don't see the rest of the team doing enough defensively to win.

TY Hoyo youre a class act, no question why youre demolishing my poor devils on world domination competition.
thanks for your vote and congratulations for your Great gaming all the way.

Here is a Look at my Matchup with Orlando. I really like our matchup in the backcourt.  Hinrich is a good matchup for miller, it is close but Miller edges him out in most categories as we as has a winning record against him.

Now Here is the absolute shocker of the series.  I will be starting Michael Finley against Jason Richardson.  Finley has played Richardson extremely even throughout their carreers and has kept it up as he has gotten older.  In addition Finley's career record against Jason Richardson is 22-2.  Thats not a misprint, 22-2.

Artest Lebron is a a matchup that is in Orlandos favor but when you look at history, Artest has done as good a job as any covering and neutralizing Lebron.  He has held him down from his averages in almost all offensive categories as well as forcing him in 5 turnovers a game.  These TO's in addition to the fact that Lebron has lost 7 out of 10 games against Artest is one of the main reasons that Lebron was recruiting Artest so hard to come to the cavs.

The Frontcourt includes one matchup that favors Toronto greatly and another that I thought would favor us more but really is a draw.

Garnett Absolutely destroys CV.  Averaging 10 more points a game, three more rebounds and three more assists while holding CV to a Fg% of .338.

Gasol vs camby is alot closer a matchup than I thought it would be, Camby still has the rebounding advantage which makes a plus for us but not a huge plus.

The Frontcourt bench here is also in our favor.  Big Z destroys foster, and Warrick has gotten the best of AV with his quickness.

Orlando
Miller Vs Hinrich 14 games Miller leads 9-5
Miller: 15.5 pts, 4.4 rb, 7.6 ass, 1.2 stl
Hinrich:13.6 pts, 3.2 rb, 5.5 ass, 1.6 stl

Finley vs Richardson 24 games, Finley leads 22-2
Finley: 16.5 pts, 4.4 rbs, 2.8 ass, .9 stl
Richardson:16.3 pts, 4.9 rbs, 2.8 ass, 1.3 stls

Artest Vs Lebron  10 games, Artest leads 7-3
Artest: 18 pts, 5 rbs, 3 assists, 1.6 stls
Lebron: 24.6pts, 6 rbs, 5 ass, 1.9 stls

Lebron Career Vs Leron artest   No wonder he was recruiting ron so hard this offseason

Career
PTS 27.5 -- FG% .471 -- 3P% .328 -- FTA 8.8 -- REB 7.0 -- AST 6.7 -- TOV 3.3
Artest
PTS 24.6 -- FG% .447 -- 3P% .231 -- FTA 7.1 -- REB 5.8 -- AST 5.3 -- TOV 5.1
5.1

TO’s really sticks out to me along with the 3-7 record and significant Shooting percentage shifts

KG Vs CV 7 Games Kg leads 4-3
KG: 19 pts, 9.4 rbs, 3.3 ass, 1 blk, .560 fg%
CV: 9 pts, 6.3 rbs, .6 ass, .1 blk, .338 fg%

Camby Vs Gasol3 games Gasol Leads 2-1
Camby: 8.3 pts, 9 rbs, 3.3 ass, 1.3 blks
Gasol: 9 pts, 5.7 rbs, 4.0 ass, 1.3 blks

AV vs Warrick 5 games
Warrick 22.4 MPG:11.4 pts, 3.8 rbs, 1 blk
AV 23.4 MPG:7.4 pts, 4.6 rbs, .6 blk

Big Z vs Foster 25 games
Big Z:27.2 mpg:14.1 pts, 7.6 rb, 1.3 ass, 2.2 BLk
Foster:20 mpg:4.5 pts, 6.5 rb, 1 ass, .4 blk

I threw in the mpg because these guys are coming off the bench and because Z's numbers should be inflated since he started those games, but when its only 7 minutes more per game, thats scoring differntial is significant.

Also the move to put Finley in the starting rotation allows me to bring Garcia off the bench which will be a huge plus in the series.

I predict ORL/PHI go into another OT/runoff tomorrow too.... :-X

then TOR has too long a layoff and whichever team wins the eventual coin-flip sweeps the Raptors  ;D

Yeah, Phoenix is in great, great shape.

I think "team of the future" may be confined to non-playoff teams, though.  Basically, "which of these lottery teams has the most to look forward to".

Is that the way it has always been? I think IP did the best job of anyone in putting together a young winning team now and still having a team that would probably be competing for a championship, mostly due to the fact that he was smart enough to draft or trade for proven stars that were very young and already on the cusp of being an All-Star selection in Rondo, Jefferson and Biedrins.

I tend to agree (and last year, I tried to go the "both" route with my team).  The sense I get, though, is that people prefer the votes to be for lottery teams.

If not, of course, two of the leading teams of the future are obviously Phoenix and Orlando.

What happens if Orlando/Philly tie again?

The tiebreaker is that the votes cast for one's own team are tossed out.  Since there are two Orlando GMs, and only one from Philly, that would break the tie.
