Ray Allen's body might have broke down in the post season last year, but how long did Manu and Redd's bodies last into the season?

Portland is kind of in another class compared with Buffalo here with fatigue and injury concern I think.

Obviously, I don't see it that way.  Buffalo goes about six deep, and two of their guys are 33+.

Portland is 10 deep, and one of their players is 33+.  Shaq is 37, but centers age a lot better than wings do.  All Shaq needs to do is being a hulking presence in the middle, which he still does well.

I'm disapointed that these are these are the two teams left in the west. Not to be rude, cuz I think both of these teams were constructed better than mine, but I think there were teams in the West that were SIGNIFICANTLY better than those still standingins....

It's crazy.  At 11:07pm, I remarked to another mod that it looked like Fafnir's vote had sealed the deal for Orlando.  I think it gave you guys a two vote lead with 53 minutes left.  From that point on, we got 8 more votes.  I didn't predict that.

Who is this "we" you speak of Roy?!? Did you leave Portland just to end up in Philly?

Well this is certainly going to be interesting looking forward to see how the vote turns out.  But I really think this is kinda like the play in game of the NCAA tourney.  Ya its great you won, but now you are gonna get stomped by Toronto

Once again here is our argument.

Philadelphia verse Orlando

While Orlando is the number one seed, this is just a fact of having LeBron James with decent surrounding players in the weakest division in the league (no other playoff teams).

Of course the main matchup in this series is the Melo vs. Bron.  Both these guys can score, and they'll get theirs. However, on defense Bron will also see a barage of Balkman and Brewer who have the size to bother Bron all night.
For those who are interested ( http://www.82games.com/nichols1.htm ) Balkman is 3rd overall in Defensive Composite Score with a score of 99. (also for the record Okafor is 7th on the list at 98).

Outside of LeBron I don't see much on the Magics roster that would give our team any trouble.  We have the defensive wings to also bother Richardson all night as well.  I think Gasol verse Bynum is at worst a wash, with Bynums (14ppg, 8rpg) numbers being a little better than Gasols (12ppg 7rpg).
While Villanueva can hang around the perimeter, that's pretty much all he does.  I don't have any doubt that the weakside defense of Okafor will be enough to bother both Villanueava and whomever may be driving the lane.  Driving will not be an easy feat, Bynum and Okafor are great shot blockers (both avg around 2bpg) and have the bodies to play post up D.

 I think we hold the advantage at the PG position.  Davis has 25lbs on Hinrich and I can see him muscling him around and posting him up.  While Hinrich is decent defender Davis is no slouch either. Hinrich can do some small things but I don't think he's much of a starter. Last year in 26minutes he only averages 10ppg and 4apg. 

With Villanueva in the game I can see our team attacking the post and driving the lane when the oppurtunity is there.

Although Orlando has a good frontcourt bench help, I don't see anyone else that can come in and score the points needed to help LeBron.  This is a team game and I don't think LeBron will be able to do it by himself.

Again I think we have a very balanced team.  We can have a nice halfcourt offense with our good front court and we can also bring in Tim Thomas to spread the floor at the PF spot and let Melo do his thing and Brewer can drive to the hole, which he is excellent at.  So please consider VOTING PHILADELPHIA.  Don't be fooled by Orlandos #1 seed... That is just a manifestation of being in the weakest division in the CBNBA.

Not that I disagree because the precedent for a tibreaker so far has been runoff vote, but since everybody already voted for a specific team, isnt it not the best tiebreaker to just assume some may not vote today or count on others to change their votes?

I think the only other way would have been to toss KWhit's, Lucky's, and GC's votes, and since the tie-breaker wasn't in place beforehand, it's tough to do.

After three years, the draft is still a work in progress.  Next year, it makes sense to work out tie-breakers ahead of time, of course.  However, it's hard to do those things retroactively without somebody being miffed.
