I voted for portland because I like there depth. I also feel that with loss of Linas Kleiza for Buffalo really hurts them especially with how deep Portland is. I know you can argue that this player or that player will get hurt but untill the season starts and we reach the half way point you cant assume this or that player will be hurt.
That's valid. Don't you think that fatigue will play a factor though? The last time Shaq was past the first round of the playoffs was what, 06? I dunno if Camby or Redd have ever been there, and Bibby hasn't been there since Sacramento.
Edgar got Camby? Sweet!
As for fatigue, remember, Portland followed the San Antonio plan, and rested its starters during the regular season.
As for recent playoff experience:
Rashard was a starter in the Finals last year
Delonte was a starter in the ECF last year
That trumps Buffalo.
Also, in terms of fatigue, why is Portland in worse shape than Buffalo? Buffalo relies heavily on Ray Allen, who at 34 is two years older than anybody on Portland's team other than Shaq. The same goes for the 33 year old Jamison. Ray, of course, saw his body break down at the end of last year due to fatigue. I can see the same thing happening on Buffalo, due to their thin bench.
(No disrespect meant to Ray. I'm his constant defender, but he played too many minutes last year, and I think he'd be forced to play too many minutes on Buffalo, as well. Plus, Redd has his number.)
