You're talking about stats and matchups, and you voted Houston over Edgar?  Edgar's guys literally won something like 8 out of 9 matchups over Houston when you look at actual stats.

I'd say a go-to scorer combined with solidarity in other areas.

That only goes so far when the great defensive team limits / contains / shuts down the go-to scorer.

  The Lakers are champs with exactly what I described. What were Orlando's defensive numbers last season and in the playoffs?

See nick's post above.  LA wasn't so shabby when it came to rebounding / defense themselves. 

You do realize that the Magic had the 3rd highest rebounding differential in the league last year right?

Interesting... looks like the better defense lost. Not enough offense I guess.

So when two very good defensive teams and rebounding teams play each other, if the team that's slightly better defensively and rebounding seasonal stats loses that makes the team that won BAD at rebounding and defense?

Seems to me that it proves they were better at it and had enough offense to win. Toronto has an amazing defensive and rebounding team and have yet to play a team that is good enough defensively to compete and at the same time has an offensive player that can overcome the Toronto defense enough to push them to victory.

I just don't see how you can only vote on 2 categories. How did the Magic and Lakers fair offensively? That Toronto team is one of the worst in this league offensively.

Jsaad thats just not true.  When you look at career matchups my team outscores Chicagos by 17 points before Garcia and martin.  So just add in their career averages and my starters score more points.  And then I have 4 guys on the bench who score above 10 points a game last year. 

This is a misconception for people looking to find a weakness in my team.  My team is strong both offensively and defensively.

Garcia can score a game high 40 thats not easy
artest and garnett can score
even camby isnt that shabby offensively
if its true this team strenght isnt offense
theyre not unidimensional not at all

 
sadly the bench scoring relies to much on a very

or at least the only one documented is Finley.

Now im not comparing them becaue I know he is a superior player on the defensive end.  But Posey put up 6.7 ppg in the playoffs when the celts won it all.  So I think 6-7 off the bench in the playoffs isnt anything to sneeze at if thats the points you think they can score.
