Two weeks ago, it appeared Marbury's Celtic career was done when Danny Ainge told him he couldn't do a deal. But that changed this week and Marbury has a Celtic offer.

Marc Berman

Here's hoping its the LLE or vet min and that it means the Daniel deal is closer to been wrapped up.  Add Davis to the mix and The green should be very happy.

So he showed nothing as a source that he has a new offer, just a completely unrelated quote from Marbury?

Ok.

FYI Marc Berman makes things up about Marbury at least once a week.

Whether or not Berman turns out to be right in this case, I absolutely cosign this sentiment.

Berman also had an early-season dust-up with Jamal Crawford and came out of it looking none too good as far as journalistic integrity is concerned.  Haven't been quite so high on him since then.

It's absolutely true. If you watch is blog, he has at least 1 article about Marbury a week. He is the one I believe who stated the bull about him and the Wizards which turned out to be completely false.

Didn't we already offer Steph a vet min and he turned it down at the start of the season?

yes, but i believe that at the time marbury believed he could get a better offer from another team.

guess he was wrong.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Marbury just said that he sold his apartment in Boston, but Ainge told him he could come back up there and work out.

I don't give much credit to Berman but Starbury just said on his stream that Danny Ainge gives him access for workouts but that he got ride of his appartment in Beantown so he "has to see".

So we offered him the minimum offer, he declined, and now he asked for it back, but hasn't accepted it yet.  Sounds far-fetched.  I don't see why Boston would randomly re-offer it, unless they're trying to bait him with a larger contract.
Quit the games Stephon, we all know you're not going anywhere.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Maybe the Celtics rescinded the offer originally?

Or maybe they set a timeline for him to accept the offer in case they could snag a particular player? But then couldn't and reoffered?

I thought Starbury declined for in hopes of Europe.

No one told me, but there has been more than a few reports of "Marbury gone".  Why would they say that if he didn't decline the offer?
