Just an idea of how to tie this all together would to be have nine ultimate categories for which you must draft, auch as intelligence, eloquence, funniness, beauty, etc. so if round one is intelligence, you have to decide which type of person you will draft... could be interesting how we associate these traits with specific types of people.... anyways, just throwing it out there, could be too complicated?

How about having a list of potential criteria by which your team will be judged, but the actual criteria are randomly chosen from that list after the draft?  Like 10-12 things on the list and 3-4 are ultimately used.  This would force people to pick a team that covered as many bases as possible.  You could rank the teams somehow and sum across the criteria to pick a winner.

Yeh.  I'd like to get the ball rolling. 

But my creative juices are just about spent for the day.

I love all the ideas, but we need to pick a plan and go with it. 

I think it might be best to start simple and see how it goes.  If it goes well, we can expand on the idea and do it again with a different set of characters. 

How about this.  We work with 5 Categories for teams to be judged on.

I did a couple of random number generations to determine the draft order and then to determine the 4 way tiebreaker for the last spot.  I was sort of bummed to lose Author, Religious figure, and one other, but fair was fair Cartoon Character drew the lucky straw.

Some rules and regulations:

This is not a serious competition, so please don't make it competitive.  It is a creative activity. 

I don't see any reason for there to be a big hurry on the draft, but I also don't see there to be any reason for anyone to be particularly hung up on the difference between one pick and the next. Sooooooooooooo....If it is your turn to pick.  Take your pick.  If you are next to pick after the currently slotted pick and 2 hours have elapsed since the last pick you may make your pick.  The person who missed their pick may then pick at any time.  Again, this is not a competitive thing, so please don't sweat it if you're pick is skipped.

Duplicate picks are not allowed.
