I will join.

Excellent Evantime.

I think when the voting hits 20 I'm going to lock it.  After we've established the categories, we'll then make a list of participants, and discuss what criteria the teams will be judged on.
Yup

Now is it supposed to be the best available you can get at any given time. Or are you putting together a cohesive team that would be able to do challenges similar to on reality shows?
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

We shall discuss this.

A couple of ideas I had for traits to pursue for the teams:

A basketball team
A battle with specific weapons
A debate
A beauty pageant
Starting a business

I don't know, we could do anything.  But choosing scientists and world leaders etc...based on their merits as basketball players intrigues me.

We can toss around some more ideas, then vote on that facet as well.

Yup

I'm down - let me know when you flesh the idea out a little.

I say, keep it *completely* subjective.  Teams will be judged however opposing GMs want them to be judged.  Thus, making it much more difficult to put a "worth" on an individual draft pick.

Totally wide open could be fun --- but making a Basketball team would give it a little context to here at Cblog i think ..... and really it woudl still be COMPLETELY SUBJECTIVE since we know little/nothing of C3PO's shot or Pavarotti's post game ;D

Ask Dark Lord if it's easy to box out R2D2
"Let me call him," Floyd said.

The man shook his head. "O.J. doesn't give out his cell," he said. "He'll call you."

Well, here's the thing.  If we enjoy it one way, we could always do it again with a different set of criteria to choose by.

If it sucks, then it sucks!

I'm open to whatever. We can do a vote on how to do things I suppose.
Yup
