In honor of Redz "Apples or Oranges" post, I offer you:

Cookies or Ice Cream*

Which is better?

*Ice cream based on cookies such as Oreo or Cookie Dough or even a Chipwich counts as Ice Cream.

Ice Cream wins this by a huge margin.

Actually I go with Cookies if these are stand alone items.  Ice Cream is more versatile though when in combination with other things (milk shakes, etc.).

  • Yup
This would require some specifics under what flavor etc...In fact I really love combining the two.

I guess I'd go with ice cream if you told me you were going to take one away from me.
Yup

Ice cream.  It's more versatile, and does more for you on a hot day.  Also, cookies need something else (milk) to reach their full potential, while ice cream is cool on its own.

Plus, you can get cookie dough ice cream any day of the week.

Depends on the cookie, the ice cream and.... the moment.  Certainly not a hands down for either.  Both, in the right context, can provide equal joy and satisfaction.

Match with cookie, not using ice cream but using anything else:
Brownie Sundae, brownies warm, with fudge swirls inside, topped with vanilla ice cream, warm choc fudge, whipped cream, one cherry on top.

Match using only cookie:
Ben+Jerry's Phish Food ice cream.

It is not even close. it is absolutely a hands down for ice cream!
