Oh man, are we in the dog days or what??
So, allow me to step up the intellectual conversation a few notches:

Dinner
Dessert

There is nothing in this world like sitting down with friends and family, at home, in a restaurant, in your home country or abroad, and sharing a nice, big, delicious dinner.

I don't have much of an appetite in the morning so breakfast is out for me, although there are those days when there's nothing better than a nice big traditional american breakfast.  Lunch I often rush through because of work and can't enjoy completely though it does give you a great mid day recharge.  And I was having a difficult time not selecting dessert, cause lord knows I love me some tasty sweet food, but in reality dessert is a compliment to a meal rather than a meal in and of itself.

My favorite meal by far is usually once a season in mid august (twice if I am extremely lucky).

My mom makes a dinner consisting of pasta (with a homemade light spicy sauce), fried chicken, fresh corn on the cob, assorted fresh veggies (tomatoes, cucumbers, etc), lemonade and a chocolate cake or whoopie pies for dessert.

All which needs to be eaten out on the patio with family.

Favorite: Dinner. Most time put into meals usually means better meals.

Favorite meal: London Broil on the grill, rare. Rotini noodles with pesto and olive oil, spinach salad w poppyseed dressing.

In the wintertime roast beef rare with mashed green beans and candied carrots. Actual ground horseradish is a must.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

The key to a great meal is not the dish but the detail in preparation. For dinner I take boneless chicken breast and embed garlic(you make little cuts into the chicken breast and put in the garlic) and bake until the excess juices can be removed. Separately and a little in advance, I heat some olive oil and quick fry onions, mushrooms, and hot italian pepper pieces as quick frying brings out the flavor more as things are carmelizing). Then I add crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce and italian seasonings. After cooking down, I pour over the chicken breasts that are partially cooked and continue baking. At the very end, I melt various cheeses over the entire thing. I serve over rigatoni or ziti along with some garlic bread with melted cheese/seasongings. Add a fresh salad and a glass of wine and it is perfect meal with good company.
(women really like a guy's guy who still can cook for real. Just a hint to you younger fellows)

Dinner's usually the most protein-heavy meal of the day, so I've got to vote for that.

Of course, the best dinner is often "breakfast for dinner" when we're lazy and don't feel like doing much cooking; now I'm not sure how to vote!

I can roll either way.  :) The best pizza I ever had was a pesto pizza for breakfast in a small town on the coast in Italy - Vernazza - the region where pesto was invented and is insanely delicious.

My favorite meal has to be dinner. I generally have to do breakfast and lunch too fast. I like to take a little time for dinner, or supper as we call it where I live. I'm trying to eat more healthy, but the deprevation really makes me appreciate a little "soul food" much more. Maybe some fried pork chops, macaroni and cheese (not from a box), turnip greens, and black-eyed peas. Wash it down with some sweet tea.
Gotta go, I'm getting hungry.
