I went to college in Austin, the best mini-golf was Peter Pan golf on Barton Springs.
Sounds like it is right up your ally.

I have stated a few times on this Blog the bitter taste that still remains in my mouth from the utter inhumane disposal in the mid 90's of local icon Davey the Whale in Harwichport, MA.  Man I loved that whale and that course.  It was torn down and replace with a shiny generic course...

I'm sorry that the only picture I can find has a bunch college friends in front of it.

Davey, I miss you pal!

Yup

Not a fan.  If for no other reason than their presence made the people who owned my old pal Davey the Whale feel obliged to spruce up their perfectly rustic course and turn into a generic piece of poop.
Yup

The Hobo Railroad place in Lincoln, NH has a couple pretty neat holes - that may be one to look into...

  • "This is beautiful. What is that? Velvet?"
The course closet to me is Golf on The Village Green on Route 9 in Natick.

Not as good as Route 1, but you can get 18 holes and a history lesson at the same time.

I would like to state for the record that hold the course record on a now demolished course, -19. I worked there for 2 summers. Tell your gf's you know me, the name is Dave.

We toss around words like 'greatness', and 'unparelleled excellence' so much these days. It is a pleasure and an honor to finally talk to someone deserving of words like those.
That's a TP for life for every time I see you on here, which is quite often. Connoisseurs appreciate aficionados of excellence.
