I absolutely would like to see Gooden with Sheed for our second unit bigs....provided we dont resign Big Baby. Both can shoot and rebound. When comparing them to other potential bigs statistically, we should keep in mind they will not be playing much against starters but rather second unit players.

If we have to spot start or play one a lot, it will likely be Sheed anyway.

I'd say we only make a push for Gooden if we can't sign Baby. He will not come in to be the 5th big.
And to the person that asked if we'd rather have him than Ben Wallace, the answer to that is abso fricken loutely
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Again, I think this is the point. Even the 4th big only gets about 10-15 minutes, which Baby may be paid too much for.

I would love to have Ben Wallace even if he is old. Mostly, becuase i think I don't want to hear Big Baby whine about his playing time with our crazy 3 man big rotation. We really only need a 4th big for very very few minutes. Wallace would be willing to accept that role and would go great with the defence first scheme.

true, that's why i'd only want Gooden if Baby left. If Baby stays I think Wallace would be better

With KG, Perk and Wallace, minutes will be sparing. And with KG loving to stay on the floor and our bench always having issues holding 30 point leads, Wallace will get more minutes next to KG/Perk than BBD. That's why I would love to look at trading BBD to a team w/ cap space for a SF and sign a true C like Ben Wallace so Sheed can dominate the 2nd unit PFs in the league                    lets continue to look at trade options for BBD and hope we can land a shooting SF w/ size and talent:
Stephen Jackson, etc
Can't stop, Rondo!

I think Drew Gooden will get better offers than the LLE contract that we can offer him.

well i'm up for it only if we trade BBD for a true PG. Gooden is unrestricted and made 1.4m last year and i don't think the spurs are interested. So the the 1.9 BAE will do. Milwaukee need a big man, I'd love see R. Sessions back up Rondo, he average 12.4ppg n 5.t assists in 26mpg so hes not selfish and can score. so if we do a sign and trade for Daniels to Indy for TA, Pruitt and walker like Chad Ford said which means we'll be looking at 13 players which is a good thing because of the economy and the possibility of adding 2 players at the deadline for depth in the playoff

Perk/Sheed
KG/Gooden/Scal
PP/Daniel
allen/house/giddens
Rondo/Sessions/lester

Gooden is one player that even the celtics locker room can't keep in check. He is one of the bigger boneheads in the league, and although he is talented, I wouldn't want him on the Celtics.

I think we have to consider him if we don't re-sign BBD.

Didn't Doc coach Gooden at Orlando? I bet doc know what he would be getting and doesn't want to take the risk.

I'd like to see him signed, as he always gave us problems when he was with Cleveland, but maybe too much of a head case.

Who has more to give? Unless some non-contender is going to shell out the mid-level exception for Gooden, I don't think he can get much more.

Saying that, I want this guy no where near the team. The reports out of SA last year was that he was an absolute bonehead, and if the Spurs coudnl't help him focus and help their team out, than no one can.
