Wait, officially?
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Gone, in this case, meaning buried at the end of the bench.

And hopefully traded soon; if not now, at the deadline.

Daniels, thankfully, makes Tony Allen even more useless than he already was.

an improved Tony Allen is just what we need!  if Daniels is him, then we've got that wing defender/slasher we need...

He never said the contract from Chicago is an NBA contract.....

Ha, TP for that
Looking at my gucci, and it's about that time...

I haven't seen anyone mention this yet.  The Pacers just recently signed Dahntay Jones at 4 years 11 mil.   Why not just re-sign Daniels at roughly the same price since he will be making less with us.  I think Daniels is an upgrade over Jones.   Makes you think well maybe there was something going on internally that the Pacers didn't like or that Daniels just really wanted to play for a winner.  I hope it's the latter.

yeah, i agree. not sure why they want jones, who if i remember right was known for being arrogant, when they already had daniels. most people would say, and i think the numbers would show, daniels has been the better player.  so it does make you wonder what larry is doing - unless he's just trying to help the celtics like mchale did :)

He's not a talent you build around for a bad team like the Pacers. So if they didn't like his attitude or his off-court issues then I can easily see why they'd rather go forward with Jones.

Even though he's an Auburn guy  :-X I'm actually very happy.  I've embraced BBD from LSU and Rondo from Kentucky (not to mention Toine, Walta, et al) so why not.  Throw a talented guy from Tennessee in there and I'll have to have a therapy session.

By the way, TA can't hold Daniels jock.  Don't let the door hit you on the way out in February TA!

To be honest, I don't know if he would have played for the Pacers for the same price. I have a feeling he gave the Celtics some sort of discount.

Aside from that, Daniels does not shoot 3's, and Jim o Briens offense is predicated on that. It's one of the reasons why Daniels eFG and FG are lower in Indiana than in Dallas.

Another reason why I think when he's on the Celtics and nobodies forcing him to shoot 3's and just let him use his drive and kick game, he will be much more effective.

He has a decent mid range game, he's also taller so he can guard guy's like Kobe a little easier without getting posted up.
