Is he anywhere close to Perk?
I remember reading somewhere that he body-slammed Shaq when he was 15.  It doesn't sound very believable, but if it's true he could only have gotten stronger.  How much do you think he benches?
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

  • Rondo = Good
It's hard to say.  He has a very compact, stout build so it's likely he can bench a lot and I'm sure he's very difficult to shove around.

I'm not sure he's stronger than Perk though.  Perk seems pretty [dang] strong.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
a LSU football coach (not Lou Saban) said he'd get drafted by the NFL as a defensive end even if he never played in college. He's pretty strong.

The strength of BBD and Perk should NOT be under estimated...It's one of the reasons we won in 2008....if we lose BBD and Powe in one off season, it will be VERY hard to push elite teams around---especially since Orlando(Bass),Clev(Shaq), and LA(Artest)---ALL got tougher....I feel we must keep Big Baby for this reason.

Wouldn't the pre-draft workouts have mentioned something? Can anyone find them?

Best fullback we've ever had on the C's.

Poor little Rondo actually wanted to play football but couldn't. Big Baby never wanted to, but could have. Sucks for Rondo.

And Little Nicky Saban is ours now by the way.  Roll Tide.   ;)

My cousin shared a cab with a couple of pizza entrepreneurs from Boston while in Atlanta after the Alabama v. Clemson game last year.  He wondered what the heck brought them down for that game and their response was that they were good friends with John Hannah.

How's that for a story?

Oh, and they said they could hook him up with C's tickets anytime he got to Boston.  Of course, my cuz passed this along to me immediately.   :)

Perk is only like 1 inch taller.  I'd be willing to say they're both top 5-10 material strength-wise, and Leon isn't very far behind.  The only two guys that come to mind are Howard and Shaq, that are definitely stronger.  Duncan, Lebron, and Al Jefferson are all up there though.  I'd say Oden, but i haven't really seen him play.  I'm surprised things like how much a guy bench presses isn't well known to us.
As far as strength/height, Earl Boykins was said to have pressed 315 at 5'5" and 133lb.  I could never see that happening though.

BBD is so strong and powerful that he can hit a game winning shot AND push a 10 year old kid out of the way.  Now THAT is strong.
