A source close to the Utah Jazz has confirmed to KFAN's Scott Garrard that they will match Portland's offer to Paul Milsap.  Milsap, a restricted free agent, was offered a 4 years for 32 million dollars last week.  Portland attempted to make the deal "toxic" by offering 10.3 million due upfront.  The Jazz will has 7 days to pay Millsap the upfront money.

I don't know about you but I hate. Big Baby is gone. He won't be as expensive as milsap, so he'll have more suitors. The list just keeps growing

Actually I think this could be great news for the C's as it opens up a very favorable sign and trade partner with Portland who has some nice parts where we need them.  Outlaw and Blake are nice pieces and it could open up a chance for a nice three way too

I'd be interested in seeing some of these sign and trade scenarios... Portland certainly has a good crop of players of interest.

It also makes Boozer more expendable for Utah. Let's go after him.

Outlaw we can get, Blake I doubt as he is their only true point right now, and even if they got a more high profile point they'd keep him as a backup PG with an expiring contract, he's popular with managament, but Outlaw has been expendable to them for awhile. Get Outlaw, and we sign TT.

We don't have a need for Boozer or his salary in Boston

Totally agree. I would love to get those two pieces. Sign a Big for the LLE and get Leon for a vet minimum deal mid season.

Just Do It Danny!

I've been hoping we can resign BBD and have the best frontcourt depth (along with Orlando) in the East, but if we can move him to fulfill two needs at once, we probably would have to do it.  This is a move I'd make.

You know what Portland could use in a Boston related sign and trade besides Big Baby...Scal. He's give them that great locker room veteran presence with playoff experience that they could use. That team is really young and having an older guy there to help those young players through some of the ways to do things properly and set an example could help that team a lot.

Baby and Scal for Outlaw and a lottery protected 1st rounder? Scal as an expiring contract could be good for them at the deadline if Scal isn't that much of a locker room presence.

Yeah, but who's our 4th big if we do this?  Mikki?  Robert "Swift"?  We need at least 4 good bigs if we want to win a championship.  I don't think Danny moves 2 of them for one player, albeit at a major need, and a pick.

Lamar Odom's agent is licking his chops.  I expect that Odom will be Portland's next target.

Not a fan of moving our bigs for SF's, but I think Outlaw would be an exception I'd make. But Danny must have a plan to solidify our big men otherwise.

agreed, they'd be absolutely insane NOT to go after him...get better AND make their competition worse at the same time? no brainer!

Except Odom has said he will only sign in a City with a beach.

Portland has a beach. The coast of Oregon is actually quite beautiful, so long as you don't try to go into the water.
