It seem like Portland wants a big PF to play behind Aldridge. What do you guys think? While Portland could just sign BBD for the full MLE, they would clearly be overpaying. How bout a S&T BBD and filler for Outlaw. Outlaw can play 3 and 4 and would be a high energy athlete off the bench that would be a great fit with the second unit and in rotation with some of our starters.

I believe the numbers would work on a $4 mil S&T of Baby plus Pruitt's non-guaranteed contract for Outlaw ($3.6 mil).

BOS outgoing salary: $2.825 mil ($4 mil / 2 + $825K)
BOS incoming salary: $3.6 mil
BOS max incoming salary: $3.63 mil ($2.825 mil x 1.25 + $100K)

POR outgoing salary: $3.6 mil
POR incoming salary: $4 mil*
POR max incoming salary: $4.6 mil ($3.6 mil x 1.25 + $100K)

*Pruitt's minimum-level contract does not factor in, and POR has sufficient cap space to take on extra payroll regardless.

It's possible, certainly.  Would they do it?

I'd love it if we did.

TP, well put.
