I saw this trade proposal by a Piston's fan on another website and thought it was pretty interesting. I'm not a big fan of messing with the starting lineup at this point and think the C's are best served by bolstering the bench. However, I have to admit I would think long and hard about this one. I was also intrigued that it seemed reasonable for all teams.

BOS Sends: Ray Allen, Tony Allen, Glen Davis (S&T 4/18)
BOS Gets: Richard Hamilton, James Posey, Antonio Daniels

Boston bolsters the team with more veteran help to win the title and regains it's formidable small ball lineup from 2008. They can use a savvy and balanced 9 man rotation of Rondo/Rip/Pierce/KG/Perkins/House/Daniels/Posey/Wallace.

Rondo / House / Pruitt
Hamilton / Daniels / Giddens / Hudson
Pierce / Posey / Walker
Garnett / Scalabrine
Perkins / Wallace

DET Sends: Richard Hamilton, Kwame Brown
DET Gets: Tyson Chandler, Tony Allen, Rasual Butler

Detroit balances the roster and positions themselves to become players in 2011 free agency. They still maintain some cap room to fill out the roster. This is pending confirmation that Tyson is healthy.

Stuckey / Bynum
Gordon / Allen / Washington
Prince / Butler / Summers / Daye
Villanueva / Maxiell / Jerebko
Chandler / FA (Wilcox?)

NOH Sends: Tyson Chandler, James Posey, Antonio Daniels, Rasual Butler
NOH Gets: Ray Allen, Kwame Brown, Glen Davis (S&T 4/18)

NOH remains competitive while clearing off massive long term salary and helping balance their roster.

Paul / Collison
Allen / Brown / Thornton
Stojakovic / Wright / Peterson
West / Davis
Brown / Armstrong / Marks
“Being a Celtic is, every decision you make is about the team. Every cut you make is about the team. Every pass you make is about the team. You take yourself out of it. It’s not for everyone. If you don’t want to win, don’t want to play team basketball, and it’s more about you then you’re probably not a Celtic." Doc 2010

No.

1. Don't want to trade Allen.

2. If we go into the season with Brian Scalbrine as our 4th big, we are screwed. He is a good locker room precense and a fan favorite but he shouldn't be seeing the court on a championship contender unless its garbage time.

I don't like the trade because it involves Ray Allen.

I rather see Giddens, Tony Allen, Hudson, Pruitt, Glen Davis & Scalabrine part ways. Everyone else stays.
