Chris Paul- Rajon Rondo-
Kobe Bryant- Ray Allen- Delonte West
Lebron James- Paul Pierce- Rashard Lewis
Kevin Garnett- Rasheed Wallace- Antonio McNice- Dennis Rodman
Shaquille Oneal- Kendrick Perkins- Marcin Gortat

 8)

-------------------------------------------------------------

Serious one now....

Rajon Rondo- Gabe Pruitt- Lester Hudson
Ray Allen- Eddie House- Tony Allen- JR Giddens
Paul Pierce- Bill Walker- Jerry Stackhouse
Kevin Garnett- Rasheed Wallace- Brian Scalabrine
Kendrick Perkins- Glen Davis

i wouldn't mind going into the season with this, then dumping some expirings for Nocioni when the Kings are bumping a record of like 10-30.

I'm also using Jerry Stackhouse as a John Smoltz/Brad Penny type plan... i'm just assuming that he'll get hurt at some point then Walker and/or Nocioni will be able to get us to the promise land. Stack is also a perfect veteran example for BW, i think Billy could be our poor mans Stack.

Don't sleep on Scal man. He's actually a good player. Not a great one, but good @ what he can do. He just looks and moves funny, like he doesn't belong in the league (maybe He Makes Pizza), or (a Mormon). Thats a good line up because of miller. It'll work, but without him Matt Barnes won't be a factor.

Oh, I´m not sleeping on Scal.  I just thought it was funny that he was listed as a fill in for any position except for PG.  So I´m starting the campaign now.  Scal for back up point guard in 2009-2010.  I believe!

Seriously though, as much as I was joking before I do agree with you to a certain extent.  Scal has proven to be a very versatile player.  And though many people are down on him and treat him like a joke, statistics show that our most effecient and productive line-ups last season generally were the ones that he was part of in some capacity.  I like Scal and think he could be a solid contributor to this team next year.  He´s always willing to step in and do what´s asked of him and I appreciate that quality about him.

Partially what I'd like to see, partially what I think will happen.
Starters
Rondo, Ray, PP, KG, Perk

Bench -- primary support
Sheed, BBD, Nocioni, Rodney Carney, Bobby Jackson

Bench -- only when needed
Swift, Walker, Giddens, Hudson

- Hoping TA, Veal, House, Pruitt moved for Nocioni before camp.
- Figuring Carney and Jackson as FA signings for 1 year deals -- Jackson's not worth more than 1 year and Carney will look to build his rep to earn a bigger check the following year.
- Figuring BBD will be resigned and Powe won't be available for midseason pickup.
- Figuring Danny still loves Swift so he's staying.
- Figuring Hudson will be kept for the year to see if he can be next year's House.
- Figuring Walker and Giddens will both show enough in camp to keep both around for bench support.  one will most likely be in d-league with Hudson.
- Figuring Danny will keep one spot open in case someone useful gets waived next year.

The only real stretch is the Nocioni trade.  That would clear a lot of C's deadwood for a solid player.  The team would have a dependable bench that could contribute some defense and scoring.

i think it is all about the forward spots....boston can keep baby or get a legit replacement at PF and get a good, vet wing to back up PP they are the best team. if they lose baby...replace him with spare parts ala mikki moore and POB...and they decide that the triad of terrible that is walker/giddens and tony are going to back up PP...i think they are still not good enough depth wise to win the title...

my happy day would resign baby....trade a combo of pruitt, scal, tony, walker to someone for a legit wing....and resign scal if he gets bought out. you keep giddens and let him learn as the last man on the bench.  i would rather have giddens than walker...i don't think swift deserves nor showed anything to give him a roster spot. it is a stiff.

Starters: RR, RA, PP, KG, and KP

Bench 6-10: Andre Miller, Rip Hamilton, Tim Thomas, Rasheed, Big Ben

Traded Baby (S&T @ 4M per year), Scal, Tony, cash, 1st for Rip.
Traded House, JR, Walker, and Giddens for A. Miller (S&T, 3-year contract for 20M)
Vet minimum offers to Big ben and Tim Thomas.

Bench 11-15: Lester Hudson, Chris Lofton, Gerald Green (yup, I said it), Nick Fazekas, and Robert Swift.

All minimum and non-guaranteed contracts.

Thinking about it now, as far as PG's go, I wouldn't mind bobby. He doesn't always have the highest assists (though he won 6th man of the year once as a PG), he has a very good assist ratio and a very low turnover ratio, which is really what we want in a playmaker. I wouldn't mind him backing Rondo. might be able to teach Rondo some veteran tricks, and he'll definitely be willing to come for the minimum.

isn't that a bit too much for Andre Miller, especially if he's coming off the bench??? Nice 2nd string but, A miller for 4 players ???

I'd like to see the starters intact. And then the core bench:

E. House
R. Carney - or Moon, Bogans, Daniels
G. Davis
R. Wallace

and then projects/scraps/insurance at the 10th-15th roles: any combo of Pruitt, Giddens, Walker, Tony, Scal, etc.

Starters            2nd String          Garbage Minutes
Rondo                Belinelli          Acie Law
Ray Allen            House              JR Giddens
Pierce        Stackhouse/Tim Thomas     Bill Walker
KG                   Powe               Scalabrine
Perkins              Rasheed            Ben Wallace

How to do this...
S/t BBD(3.6 mil) w/ Tony Allen to GSW(open cap space to pass BYC rules)
for Belinelli and Acie Law and Draft Picks/cash
Don't resign Marbury, Pruitt, or Mikki Moore(unless we can't get Big Ben)
Sign either Tim Thomas, Stackhouse, or Bruce Bowen for 1.9
Sign Ben Wallace for vet min to play backup backup big when needed
Can't stop, Rondo!

4- KG/BBD/Diogu
5- Perk/Sheed/Wilcox

Assumes we trade Pruitt/Giddens/TA/Scal for Posey and Mo Pete. Also assumes we offer LLE to Moon and the heat don't match.
