If Gabe Pruitt is our backup PG and Jerry Stackhouse is the guy we are counting on to cut Pierce's minutes...let me be the first to say this WE ARE SCREWED.

Sorry Edgar

wow, Scalabrine as your 3rd string guard/forward/power forward/center...The man can do anything!!!

Well,
you already know the starters (the same ones we already have), so I just put the bench that I would hope for:

PG Andre Miller
SG Eddie House
SF Matt Barnes
PF Baby Davis
C Sheed

Though its just dreaming cause its never gonna work out like that.

Starters:

PG: Rondo
SG: R. Allen
SF: PP
PF: KG
C: Perk

2nd Unit:

PG: Andre Miller (Via S/T, Scal, T. Allen, Pruitt, pick if necessary...expirings,   saves them cash)
SG: E. House
SF: B. Walker
PF: Hakim Warrick (LLE)
C: Sheed

3rd Unit:

PG: E. House
SG: JR Giddens
SF: H. Warrick
PF: Powe (Mid-season signing after injury)
C: Robbert Swift (handcuffed to the bench)

I think the sixers do the above trade based on their knowing they are far from contending, and can shed additional cap. If we are able to get a guy like Warrick for a one year LLE I think he goes for it. He only made a couple mil last season, and I think is one of the more under-rated defenders in the league. He's been on a terrible team his whole career, and one championship run with the C's will net him a bigger contract in 2010. He would fill in nicely as a backup for KG, but Warrick can also be platooned with B. Walker and Giddens to give Pierce a rest (especially against bigger 3's like Lewis, Artest, Granger, etc. while using Walker against the undersized types like Deng).

The obvious question mark comes at the Center spot. Personally, I think the only thing to worry about is injury at this point. Between Perk and Sheed, I think it will be more of a fight for minutes anyway, so if neither of them go down, we are good. Then you can also hope for Powe to somehow find himself back in the mix.

You asked for desirable, and I also think this is reasonable for these two moves to be possible, although I doubt they both happen (which sucks).

Gabe is decent for our back-up. He has size ball handling skills etc... Doc for some reason shy away from the young new players. StackHouse??? I just don't get it on this board, why some would rather have Matt Barnes and not StackHouse. StackHouse is Pierce's perfect compliment.

I would like Andre here also, but he's a starter I don't think he'll want that trade. I think he's going to New York anyhow, so he's at our loss. I'm not too big on moon. To me he's just an athletic Scalabrine. Good post though...lol @ Towels & Sock, better hope you have no injuries.. ;D

Don't sleep on Scal man. He's actually a good player. Not a great one, but good @ what he can do. He just looks and moves funny, like he doesn't belong in the league (maybe He Makes Pizza), or (a Mormon). Thats a good line up because of miller. It'll work, but without him Matt Barnes won't be a factor.

I rather House the pg. lol And I think Paul Pierce would agree also. ;) He would be opposed to Collins ever coming to the Celtics while he's still there. Bogans is a solid player i like, but i don't think c's could afford him.

Why?  Collins is the big defensive PG the Celtics need to go with House.  Collins the PG on offense, House the shooter.  On defense, House guards the PG, Collins, the SG.

I like this one very much TP for that. Andre Miller would compliment Bill Walker perfect and the rest will follow. 3rd string is Hilarious. Please don't jinx us with a Robert Swift bench :D

Can't believe people are putting Swift in front of Fazekas. I would love to see McHale vr. 2.0 in green. He has those same dorky McHale moves - if only he had the same quickness.

Chris Paul- Rajon Rondo-
Kobe Bryant- Ray Allen- Delonte West
Lebron James- Paul Pierce- Rashard Lewis
Kevin Garnett- Rasheed Wallace- Antonio McNice- Dennis Rodman
Shaquille Oneal- Kendrick Perkins- Marcin Gortat

 8)

-------------------------------------------------------------

Serious one now....

Rajon Rondo- Gabe Pruitt- Lester Hudson
Ray Allen- Eddie House- Tony Allen- JR Giddens
Paul Pierce- Bill Walker- Jerry Stackhouse
Kevin Garnett- Rasheed Wallace- Brian Scalabrine
Kendrick Perkins- Glen Davis

i wouldn't mind going into the season with this, then dumping some expirings for Nocioni when the Kings are bumping a record of like 10-30.

I'm also using Jerry Stackhouse as a John Smoltz/Brad Penny type plan... i'm just assuming that he'll get hurt at some point then Walker and/or Nocioni will be able to get us to the promise land. Stack is also a perfect veteran example for BW, i think Billy could be our poor mans Stack.
