Obviously he plays no D and we all know that, but as a guy to score off the bench I think he could help.  We just can't expect him to be Grant Hill

He is what he is
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16

Tim Thomas can play minutes at  3/4 he's strong he's 6'10 and when motivated he was kind of precursor to the "type" of player Odom is. Plus part of it is he used to play with Ray and wants to again, he would be a great hole filler in our front court if we don't resign Baby or get the SF we want.

I think I would seriously prefer Antoine Walker. At least you can't question his heart and love for Boston.

And hey, he'd be motivated to play well, and get paid (from today's paper):

The district attorney’s office has filed a criminal complaint against former NBA all-star Antoine Walker alleging he failed to pay back $822,500 in gambling debts at three Las Vegas casinos.

What a mess Antoine has been lately.

Hopefully he isn't so hard up that he can't repay casino markers, but it wouldn't surprise me.  :-\

He's being charged with felony check fraud, too:

Quote
The complaint charges Walker, 32, who wants to return to the NBA, with three felony counts in passing $1 million in bad checks while taking out the markers at Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood and Red Rock Resort. By law, gambling debts in Nevada are handled as bad check cases.

According to a copy of the complaint obtained by the Sun, Walker obtained gambling markers by writing 10 separate $100,000 checks with insufficient funds at the casinos from July 27 to Jan. 19.

Has he called Mr. Hobbs' office for representation?

I hope that episode of Pros versus Joes netted him a sweet paycheck...

I'd call Sacramento and offer up Tony, Scal, and their pick of Giddens or Walker for Nochioni.  If they decline, Tim Thomas is the backup plan.  Better option than Stackhouse, since he's not coming off an injury.  Thomas isn't really a cancer, he did fine on those Phoenix teams, he just frustrates coaches and teammates because he doesn't give it his all but you don't hear about him being someone who everyone DISLIKES or hates playing with.  He's just a guy who had the talent to be a #2 guy, but was content to be a #7 or #8 guy.

KG and 'Sheed might murder him, but them maybe we can petition the league office for a cap exemption.

I wouldn't mind having Tim Thomas off the bench.. The only thing that scares me is that he really couldn't get on the floor against us in the 1st round? He couldn't beat out the young guys on the bull for some spot mins.? Never The less if all is bad we could use him and see what we could do at the deadline.

His problem is he plays like Rasheed Wallace but doesn't realize he's Tim Thomas.
