I love the sheed signing. i think him, eddie and scal are our best choices off the bench. but i am becoming frustrated in 2 areas with the celtics.
1. danny seems to be very slow to find a wing to back up PP. I sure hope he and Doc don't think they can get what they need at that spot out of tony allen and bill walker. walker is nowhere near ready to play 15-20 minutes a night and I honestly hope tony allen never sees the court again in boston. I think standing pat with what we have at that spot on the bench puts us in the same spot as last season....and that was a disaster.
2. boston needed more bigs off the bench before baby was rumored to be going. Now what? sheed and scal aren't enough to give us what we need up front. we need 2 more bigs if baby leaves..plus a point..plus a wing
i guess i see guys getting signed everyday that could help boston (oberto, parker) etc that boston just walks on by. does danny think his plan from last summer of waiting until all the decent players are gone to find some low level pro on the cheap actually will work? I don't know...but by the day the celtics seem to be happy with getting sheed and now are just letting the days pass. there has been zero talk or moves about what they are even doing. and honestly...at this point they really cant afford to lose baby
