or they could be clearing that extra space to facilitate a trade. Nonetheless, something is about to follow. And most likely very soon.

My 2 cents says Boozer is on his way, and Utah will somehow get a little cap relief from the extra 3 million that Detroit can now swallow.

It looks like the most they could offer BBD is 3.5 Mil this year which if true we should match no problem.

Yeah, an unlikely gamble like that doesn't justify letting some low paid bodies go.

As I said in another thread I think this is leading up to a big Utah-Detroit trade real soon so that Utah can retain Millsap. It's the first shoe to drop and the other will come before it's time for Utah has to make a decision on Millsap.

Just my 2 pennies.

I don't think the Pistons care about BBD.  They are very high on Jason Maxiell.

they just cleared a ton of cap space and leaked to the press they are going after davis with it though....

Could be their backup plan if the Utah trade doesn't pan out. Or it could be their plan all along, why leak it like this though?

Could we do a scenario where we get CJ Miles, Utah gets Glenn Davis/other consideration from Detroit and Detroit gets Carlos Boozer
