Two years ago he averaged 10.7 points; maybe last year was just an off year due to injuries.  I'd definitely extend him an offer to training camp, at the very least.  He's quite a bit younger than Grant Hill, and may have something left in the tank.

One of the contenders will sign Stackhouse.  Bank on it.  There are very few playoff tested swingmen left on the market, and he is going to make a good addition to the team that gets him.

stackhouse? man i didnt even know he was still in the league...i thought he was playing in the senior NBA with Keith Van Horne and Steve Francis

Its funny how age was not really a factor when Grant Hill was discussed although for some reason it is for Jerry Stackhouse. Both have been injury prone, Hill more so than Stackhouse. If anyone should be in the Senior NBA it should be Grant Hill. If the C's can get Stackhouse healthy as Phoenix had done with Hill, he would be a good addition at the 2+3 position.

I like Stackhouse if he wants to come.

Yes to Stack, but ONLY at the vet min so his signing does not negatively impact our ability to add someone else.  After the season he had last year, he's a vet-min guy.

Stack is a great player, but don't you think he is too injury prone.

 Year:          # Missed
 2003-04     56
 2004-05     26
 2005-06     27
 2006-07     15
 2007-08     24
 2008-09     72

Thats 220 games in the last 6 years. We only have a few roster spots available, and we can't just waste them. Unless if you can rely on JR & Billy to contribute next year, then stack could be a nice addition.

No thanks.  He's the Marbury of small forwards.  The Celtics can do better.

Ha! I'm no different from you guys... Just my gut feeling since Hill isn't available, and money wise he'll fit our roster + the connection Sheed & Stack share. Hell I want Iverson to come here too...lol but he's not ready for a ring yet (seems like he's still chasing the money).

Dream Roster (and very Possible)

Starters:
Rondo, Allen, Pierce, Garnett & Perkins

2nd Team:
Iverson, House, Stackhouse, Wallace, & Glen Davis or (Kwame Brown) lol

3rd Team:
Dermarr Johnson, Billy Walker, Gabe Pruitt, Nick Fazekas (lol) & Chris Lofton

This is not possible at all, because we don't have money to sign Iverson, and you probably forgot about some guys named Giddens, Tony and Scal.

No I din't forget those bums... lol They're all being traded. lol remember the c's have the Vet minimum = Stackhouse & and Bi-annual I believe its called = Iverson.

The sign & Trade Danny is doing involves Glen Davis. I believe since Bass is heading to Disney, Bbay is heading for the Pistons. He'll sign Davis and then trade him there for Kwame Brown. I'm all for it. Kwame Brown is a much better player than we think and could be even better with the C's.

Stack's a volume shooter when healthy.  Ime Udoka or Keith Bogans would probably be more useful, though both are still awfully underwhelming.  Here's hoping Walker/Giddens improve in a hurry!
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

agree with everything, including the fact that Barnes isn't what we need.

"Stackhouse was a top five pick in the 1995 draft class, as was Kevin Garnett and Rasheed Wallace. He was the third pick followed by the aforementioned Wallace and Garnett."

TP for this guy.

Childress will be too expensive, Parker has signed with Cleveland.

Stack was limited to only 10 games, and in those 10 games he played with plantar fasciitis and bone spurs.
