Doc needs to revise his line ups better and observe the situations he puts guys in. 1 thing I don't like about Doc is his mentality of having 2 teams. Thus the reason players like Tony Allen fail miserably and guys like Eddie House go unnoticed @ times. You can't expect to play the starting 5 for the 1st 10mins of the game, be up by 10+ with all the momentum riding on their side, and then sub in an entire bench of players for the last 2 minutes and the 1st 4mins of the 2nd period.

Its not going to work. of course you'll lose momentum and evidently the lead. Then you'll have guys like Glen Davis on the bench crying because K.G.'s yelling @ him for losing the lead. Its not Glen Davis fault its the situation Doc put him in. You've seen how Glen Davis blossomed in the playoffs as the starter alongside, ATT: Pierce, ATT: Ray, CREATOR: Rondo & SOLID: Perk.

TA definitely looks like he belongs in the DLeague yes because of his inability, but 2 because the situation he's put in isn't helping either.

Everyone is talking about how we need to get rid of him.  Personally, i think he's a very decent player.  He certainly hasn't played to his potential for the better part of these past 2-3 years.  However, I have faith that he can fit in with this team quite well.  Unless of course we actually look into decent trades, then i wouldn't be against unloading his contract.

Here's a cup...I'd like you to pee in it for me  ;D

Tony Allen has many faults as a player and I wouldn't mind to see him go.  However say if Paul Pierce or Ray Allen had ACL surgery that took up to almost a year and 1/2 to fully recover which meant by the the end of the 2007-08 season (They were both coming off injuries but not nearly to that extent).  Then this year around the beginning of the season has a badly sprained ankle, then thumb surgery in mid February, then ankle surgery the beginning of June, and I also think he had a back issue at one point too.  How good would Ray or Paul be the last 2 years if they had these health issues?

Would we have still won the championship?  Would they still have made the all star team both years?

Tony has not played well for the most part of 2 seasons with our championship caliber team but maybe we are being slightly unfair given the injuries he has dealt with.

Dude. He's healthy. And when he has been healthy he's been the same player, not good. He had a 10 game aberration due to minutes being played and the quality of his team mates on a truly dreadful team. Those games are the exception not the rule and it's time people both in and out of the Celtic team and fandom start to realize that. He just isn't that good.

We should start a thread/poll to see what people think TA's IQ would be.  Not basketball IQ necessarily.  We could then do a follow up...GG's IQ.   ;D

How can you say he is healthy when he just had 2 more surgeries this past year one of which was immediately after the season which maybe was partly why he didn't play at all in the playoffs?

I thought he started playing better the first month of the season before all these things started happening to him again.  He had a stretch of double digit scoring in 5 out of 6 games.  The 07-08 season was a wash for him for the most part because of the ACL but the game logs show he was improving ever so slightly as the season wore on.

Maybe that month or so stretch in 06-07 was a little of an aberration but people can't totally dismiss the injuries he has had and say he is healthy.    All I'm saying is the hatred towards him seems a little over the top given the circumstances and if Paul or Ray had the same injuries I really question how good our team would have been over the last 2 years.
