Everyone is talking about how we need to get rid of him.  Personally, i think he's a very decent player.  He certainly hasn't played to his potential for the better part of these past 2-3 years.  However, I have faith that he can fit in with this team quite well.  Unless of course we actually look into decent trades, then i wouldn't be against unloading his contract.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

He makes dumb mistakes, and can't be trusted in clutch situations. I don't really want a player like that to be our "best perimeter defender." Two years in a row he's fouled a jump shooter in the final minutes of a playoff game. Thats not the type of player a championship team needs. He's also injury prone.

All that being said i have a TA jersey, and i love TA. But i've come to grips with the fact that he's not what we're looking for. Tony should go to some lottery team and play 30+ minutes so he can put up 15 a game and get paid.

I hate Tony Allen.  He's got one of the worst jump shots in the entire NBA, and makes a ton of dumb mistakes on both ends of the floor.

Well that makes one of us, he is a detriment to the team when he is on the court.

You need to find a couple zeros for your jersey then you can unstitch the "4," restitch the "2" add the zeros, and you have a Ray Allen jersey, fantastic.

It's not entirely TA's fault when Doc lets him sit on the bench for the entire game and then plops him into the middle of the most crucial moment.  How can Doc trust him enough to put him in then but not trust him enough to play him 6 to 8 minutes in the first half?

I hate Tony Allen

If TA makes to the season, I bet JR plays before TA sees a minute. Its over for him. TA is a lost cause.

Once you give Doc a reason not to trust you it's hard to gain that back. Ask TA and Mikki.

I hope TA never plays for the Celtics again.  That's what I think of him.

Ainge made a huge mistake giving TA the 6th man role. Tony Allen fooled us too many time. The end has finally come, go away Tony.

I used to love Tony Allen. The year he came into the league, he looked like he was going to be an all defensive first teamer with explosive athleticism. We had the opportunity to get Baron Davis but didn't want to part with TA and everyone agreed that was a good idea.
Then he got hurt, and expectations were tempered. Then he came back and set the league on fire with 20 points a game strictly going to the hole, and I fell harder than ever.
Then he got hurt again, and it took him a long time to recover. By the time he recovered the team had moved on with the big 3.
But a part of me always was expecting him to come back and make me fall in love with him again. Maybe it can happen.
