I hate Tony Allen.  He's got one of the worst jump shots in the entire NBA, and makes a ton of dumb mistakes on both ends of the floor.

Hate is a strong word Roy.  Couldn't you just say you "strongly dislike and never want to see again?"

No, I'm pretty sure it's reached Mark Blount level hatred.

In that case, hate on my friend.

In the words of Silky Johnson,
"Well, well well.  If it isn't the most diabolical haters this side of the Mississippi."

He's a moron, he looks like a moron, plays like a moron. He gets and 1's and penetrates well. Gerald Green is a good finisher on the break. Shaun Bradley changed shots. Strong points need to balance out to make you something other than...nothing. In a nutshell, he sucks.

I think that TA has got many opportunities to redeem himself and live up to his potential. Unfortunately, either he blew his knee again or played like crap each time he's got the chance to prove that he was worth a place in the rotation.

The fact that fans are worried when they see one of the players of their favorite team get in the game says everything in my opinion. I'm worried when I see TA get on the court, and I ask myself "What's he going to do to hurt us?". I'm surprised when he scores or makes a good play.

So basically I would be really glad if we could get a valuable rotation player (a wing backup in the case we don't get Hill) by trading TA.

I would love TA as Kobe's running mate.

TA is better then most of us give him credit for...that being said, the best possible thing for him would be to be on a crappy team like an OKC and just get lots of PT.  the skill is there, but he will always be stunted here.  horrible fit

Tony would be a fantastic fit distributing the ball to LeBron James.

A lot of athletic ability but, not too much up stairs unfortunately.  I know he's considered dreadful around but, If he's on the roster to start the season he can occasionally provide a nice spark off the bench.  I'm not sure how he's going to get minutes though with House, Walker, and Giddens.

I wouldn't be surprised if we sign Hill that ends up losing minutes to one of the younger guys.

Everyone is talking about how we need to get rid of him.  Personally, i think he's a very decent player.  He certainly hasn't played to his potential for the better part of these past 2-3 years.  However, I have faith that he can fit in with this team quite well.  Unless of course we actually look into decent trades, then i wouldn't be against unloading his contract.
I used to love Tony Allen. The year he came into the league, he looked like he was going to be an all defensive first teamer with explosive athleticism. We had the opportunity to get Baron Davis but didn't want to part with TA and everyone agreed that was a good idea.
Then he got hurt, and expectations were tempered. Then he came back and set the league on fire with 20 points a game strictly going to the hole, and I fell harder than ever.
Then he got hurt again, and it took him a long time to recover. By the time he recovered the team had moved on with the big 3.
But a part of me always was expecting him to come back and make me fall in love with him again. Maybe it can happen.
That's exactly what I'm saying.  I used to get so excited when he came into the game.  He even made the Rookie challenge team with Al.  Then he had some bad luck with his knee and the 'shooting incident', but when he came back he looked better than ever.  And he got good minutes when Paul got injured.  The ACL/MCL tear really set him back, even though he healed pretty quickly.  Then last year with his ankle and thumb, he's just had bad luck.  I have faith he can come back again.
It just makes me mad when people say he's a horrible player when he used to play well and can still play well in the future.

David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

ahhhhh the mythical 10 game stretch in 2006 when he looked like a all-star. NEver has a player traded so far on one month :D.

Tony is way past potential land at this point, he's not a young dude anymore.

tony is one of the weirdest players i've ever seen. i'd even welcome the guy back as an end of the bench guy if he just played defense and would'nt ever try to make a play and never shot the ball unless he was right underneath the basket.he should wear # 13,too.
