As always  ::)

Like no rookies are ever any good. Especially mid first rounders and another guy who should have been one. All three I'd prefer over Bellinelli.

Can rookies actually help?  http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/rookies/rankings

Not an ESPN insider, but got to look at the first 20 and they all looked like they played. The idea that all rookies not picked in the top 5 go to the NBADL is a fallacy.

That will be a terrible mistake for Toronto. The real one.

Moving on...I also tried to look up the rules on claiming players (waived or undrafted) and couldn't find the rules in the rules. The one a day thing, etc. Anyone know where that rule is?

I think the difference is that two of the rookies you're looking to move are described by experts as being a long way from NBA ready.  Budinger is probably furthest along, but he was a mid-second rounder who has limited potential.

It's the same thing with our rookies and young players:  Taj Gibson and Alexis Ajinca are a long way away from contributing to an NBA roster, in all likelihood.

In what regard?  The rule is one per day, with all roster cuts having to be made by midnight tonight.

Not all rookie classes are equal.  This year reminds me more of the Kenyon Martin draft class, though with a better number 1 pick.

You think Ajinca will ever be an NBA level player? They aren't hopeful in Charlotte.

Not with Larry Brown as his coach.

He's the number one on Espn's Depth charts, its Belinelli then Derozan.  I dont think it will be a mistake, Hes got Chemistry with Bargnani already because they both played on the national team together.  Also we know that the kid can spread the floor I see him flourishing like Kapono did up there.

The reports I'm getting is that JJ, Daye, and Budinger all looked good this Summer. Not sure about your less ballyhooed guys. Buddinger and Blair will both get a lot of PT. Wasn't Moute a 2nd rounder? Gasol? Manu? Redd?

This isn't the analysis thread. Just posting an ad like others do.

How many rookies looked good in summer league never to step on the NBA court when it matters?

Yes, I've heard of it. Rondo2287 said there was no such rule, so I looked it up in the rules and couldn't find it. Just asking for some direction to the rule.
