I had a schedule in mind and pushing back the deadline a day would throw things off. Plus, the free agent, add/drop period is typically a quiet part. If people can't work out a trade over the next 5 days, I don't know what to say. If we are able to get 3 press conferences in next week, things work out perfectly on the calendar.Starting right after the draft. At some point today, I'm going to post next week's schedule.Tentatively, it looks like free agent signing, roster cuts, and trades must be done by 11:59pm Tuesday and then we'll roll into press conferences. That's a pretty quick turnaround. I'll be on vacation through pretty much all of it. If anyone wants to make a trade with the Cavs, better send offers today, since my internet access will be limited from here on. I'll consider all options, but please start with reasonable offers. I'm currently happy with my team, but a big shot blocker would be a nice addition. That gives people a little over 4 days to work things out. I think its enough. Plus, its best not to drag this whole thing out too much.i wouldn't mind going till Wednesday at midnight...two days seems like little time to shop guys for teams who are looking to win in the future.alot of people aren't around Saturday and Sunday, (like me) so those days don't help us on trades, rosters, ect at all.The problem with Wednesday is that it drags things out. Think of it this way:Next week's schedule:Mon + Tue: "Free agent signing", little to no activityWed - Fri: Conference #1 "press conferences"Week 2:Mon - Wed: Conference #2 "press conferences"Thu + Fri: Voting for seeding by conferenceIf we delay that even one day, I think it would really mess things up, and we could lose momentum (as we have in the past). From the first two years of this, I can't remember a whole lot that has happened in the "free agent" period, so I agree with Dons that it doesn't make sense to prolong it.
