Spurs just made a fantastic trade. 1 surefire top tier starter, 2 borderline starters

Roy Hobbs will be selecting for me if I'm offline during my pick. I also give him permission to pass on my behalf if none of the players on my list are available

The Spurs are happy with the trade they made because they feel Hamilton fits better to their team than Mayo and they also picked up depth with the recent trade.
PHX Suns: Russell Westbrook, Chris Bosh, Tristan Thompson, Trevor Ariza, Tony Allen, Trey Lyles, Corey Brewer, Larry Nance Jr., Trey Burke, Troy Daniels, Joffrey Lauvergne, Justin Holiday, Mike Muscala, 14.6

I think all will become clear for Detroit.

Spurs send: O.J Mayo, 10th rounder (27), 10th rounder (28)

Pistons send: Richard Hamilton, Matt Barnes, Jarrett Jack

i don't get it for either team, either.

i thought the suns had a nice nucleaus with hamilton at the 2 and the depth of barnes and jack...i think mayo is too much of a me-first guy to contribute to a win-now team.

BUT

i liked Mayo growing with rose.  I can't tell what the Spurs are aiming for right now.

Here's my question:

Previously, you were a team of the future, with a superstar backcourt.  Now, how do you see yourself?  I see a team that will be somewhere between a 4th and a 6th seed, but probably not much higher.

Do you see it the same way?  How do you compete with other teams in your conference?

Someone waited for me to pick last time, so I will return the favor here. But hurry up Sacramento.
"Let me call him," Floyd said.

The man shook his head. "O.J. doesn't give out his cell," he said. "He'll call you."

I think they became a player in the Win Now category, Rose although young is a win now Point Guard IMO as we saw in the chicago series.  And now he matches rose with the two pieces from the win now real life detroit team.  His front court is sketchy though since AK47 can prob get abused by the better PF's in the league and Foster really is a backup C

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.
I think the Spurs won that trade, I don't see anyone left in the 10th round who can make up the gap in talent lost in trading Hamilton and Jack.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

I'm not sure that Jack is that good.  He's mediocre, at best.  Hamilton is good, but he's not a star.

O.J. can be a star.
