Oh, man, the scrolling text cracks me up.

My weekend was solid, IP.  Next week will be the big one, though.  My soon-to-be-fiance' and I will be going into NYC.  First, we're meeting up with Steve Weinman for some Gyros.  Then, it's off to Broadway, followed by dinner at Ruth's Chris.  Our anniversary is July 29, and my birthday is 8/4 and hers is 8/5.

Just making attempts to catch up with the pre-blockbuster-trade end of the round. And I want first and foremost to raise my glass to Hobbs. Great news.

As for Round 6, I'll agree with the majority (this once) and say solid selections almost top to bottom. I do believe that certain teams were in a position to make higher risk, higher reward moves but didn't, and I'm curious about that. This is why I like Golden State's choice of Tyreke Evans; and can get on board with Denver's willingness to use a high 6th on Yao Ming. (Although a surprising gamble from the most vocal critic of the Pacers' Rubio pick.)

Also, Houston may be willing to move down in the 7th though likely at a greater cost than may be suggested by the team's move back from 6 (27), which was a financially motivated.

ok IF the deal is announced and rumors are right?

Bibby  Delonte
Redd   Manu
Shard  Gomes
O neal
O neal Miller

6 healthy of those 10 man in the rotation
are better than 90% of the teams
and can bring a championship back
pst hey still 3 players to go for us next 45

sweeeeeeeeeeeetttt

CROTORNATS --- has there ever been a championship team that won without a top 25 player? this is an honest question... cant' think of an instance where it did.

Dont get me wrong, but at this point Manu or Rashard are your best players --- a lot of depth, but no dominance (this was prob. by design when you traded out of the mid-1st round, but those are the consequences IMO).

I don't like Shaq for Portland, Lewis is best in a uptempo offense where he gets to play the 4. I think the Blazers should have went smaller rather than bigger. Not really sure J. O'Neil can cover the quicker 4's or even the average speeded 4's anymore. Then again I thought it would take more than just Hawes to get Shaq, I expected more so I guess Portland got good value. I still don't like the fit with your team.

Whoa whoa whoa, Miss Lippy, Miss Lippy! The part of the story I don't get is where is the young scorer?

I've just been dying to say the madison quote. I think Miami managed to make a better fit even if they lost some value.

No, we were looking for a young scorer and/or a young big + picks.  I think Hawes really fits well on our team and puts us in the running for "team of the future"  Also we move up two of our picks as well.
