Solid.  He was one of my guys last year, and I like him a lot.

TPs all around for the scrolling-text-apalooza..... though i am seeing spots now.

And i'm not necessarily buying into the Crotornats hype that you've got 10 starters. Though if you do... which of them are going to be OK with significantly-less-than-starters-minutes?

I was just thinking what this draft would be like if there were no trades allowed ???

I can't imagine trying to vote on those teams.

Well guys like Gomes are technically starters but they're really not GOOD starters

probley still a bit early for this kid, but we have  a glaring hole at his position, and its getting thin at PG.

Like this pick.  West has some good teams.

One think I'm not giddy on about Portland (besides the injury issues) is that their go to guy and arguably their best player is their 6th man. He's great, but it says a little about their starting line-up. I guess they're going for that Pistons look, but I liked Billups a lot more than Bibby and Sheed equally as much more than O'Neal. Just one man's opinion. I like what Houston and Buffalo have done in the West. I think it's Buffalo's spot to lose, since they have Dwight Howard.

TPs for you.

All of them.   8)  Manu, Delonte, Gomes, and Miller have all come off the bench before.  They're all capable of being starters, but they've all been willing to sacrifice for the good of the team.  They'll continue to do so.

Yeah his playoff stats were very nice, too.  10pts/6ast/4reb to go along with 49% from the field and 42% from 3....guy is just super consistent/efficient.

right.... some of this is the nature of NBA over-expansion. Doesn't take away from their (gomes, et al's) talent..

Here's the thing, though.  We can always restructure our starting lineup.

Miller
Rashard
Manu
Redd
Bibby

With O'Neal, Delonte, Gomes, and Hawes off the bench.  It's not about who starts games, it's about who finishes them.  San Antonio has thrived for years with Manu coming off the bench, so we'll probably replicate that.  However, things can change.

Oh, man, the scrolling text cracks me up.

My weekend was solid, IP.  Next week will be the big one, though.  My soon-to-be-fiance' and I will be going into NYC.  First, we're meeting up with Steve Weinman for some Gyros.  Then, it's off to Broadway, followed by dinner at Ruth's Chris.  Our anniversary is July 29, and my birthday is 8/4 and hers is 8/5.

Once a CrotorNat always a CROTORNAT  2 times CB draft Champion 2009-2012

Nice to be back!

just to play some devil's advocate.  how confident are you that spencer hawes is ready to play big minutes for a championship-contending team?  I like him a lot but he's yet to play in that kind of environment.

We love the talent, and think that he'll fit a role immediately.  However, if he initially struggles, we love having Brad Miller to mentor him, and to -- if necessary -- step into the lineup for awhile.
