We'll, after much debate and several good trade offers for it, the flamingo's close round 3 with

Trevor Ariza

Ariza really came into his own last season and is set to have a career year. He's clutch, tough and shines when the spotlight is on him. Good pick.

Phoenix's reasoning:

1) I didn't like the duo of Al Jefferson and Ron Artest. I felt like the two of them didn't mesh. Artest needs the ball in his hands too much, and there was no Battier or even Brent Barry on my roster to reel him in. Al Jefferson gets buckets, period. Artest does a little bit of everything, but he's not that effient a scorer, and beyond amazing man to man defense, he's not that's great at anything.

I need a guy that can take orders, and let the game come to him. Josh Howard can do that.

I also added one potential starter and one potential heavy rotation guy, so I like where I'm at.

Darn... KG, Artest and Camby is the best defensive front court assembly at the moment. Luckily there is no mulligan for the Arenas pick and no answer for Wade. ;)

Well, from what I understand from a couple sources, Big Al has a lot in common with Josh Howard off the court, so they should mesh great.  Draft Ricky Davis in the 12th, and maybe add Cliff Robinson to the coaching staff, and you'll be all set.  ;) ;)

You're not supposed to post those on the thread. I didn't purposely back out I just misread your pm. It's classy to try to get support of the board by posting a private pm. I'm sure you never made a mistake before.

1) ET is right, we have rules about posting PMs in the open forums; and

2) I understand both positions, but ultimately if it was a good faith mistake and it wasn't confirmed with Dons, then I think it's okay to back out.  I'd suggest moving on, maybe with an exchange of TPs.
