Atlantic division is starting to shape up nicely.

Definitely a "win-now" division.

Commissioner Don is picking favorites. Took a page straight out of the David Stern playbook.

Haha..

Simply an observation, nothing more, nothing less.  I wouldn't read into it.

I'm just laying the ground work for my conspiracy theory should I lose.

this takes me to a new idea

Why not put your roster actual value on the recap of your team
that will help to qualifie like expensive but worth it, less or most for the money,
quality for the cheap and being cheap never paid sweepstakes.

That might entail more math than I'm comfortable with, but I like the idea.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Artest is still available...looking for players not picks.

Looking to move up in the 4th from 4(16) to 4(6) or lower. Will offer 4(16) plus either swapping picks in multiple rounds or just a later pick.

We'll, after much debate and several good trade offers for it, the flamingo's close round 3 with

Trevor Ariza

Good role player.  I'm not a huge fan of the Beasley-Ariza-Gordon lineup, though.  One of them needs to come off the bench.

While Denver is looking to the future, they expect to compete for a playoff spot this year.  And with three more picks this week and 4 picks on Monday, they expect to add the pieces need to make the playoffs while growing.

Don't expect every player on the Nuggets to be young.

Hmm...  I think I'd go in the opposite direction right now.  Oden / Green / Conley, Jr. are still all pretty raw, and I don't think they can be the top three on a playoff team, especially in a fairly stacked league.

Like I said, I have 7 picks in the next 4 rounds.  It will not be hard to add the experience needed to help guide these players.

The flamingo's plan to be very active in selling some of our solid young players to contenders to put them over the top in exchange for fictional future draft picks/ considerations  for the fictional write up section of this thing. I'm having fun drafting for talent and trade possibilities over trying to compete with some of the absolutely stacked teams that are already out there.

you can pretty much write us up as one of those "building for the future" section of the team lineups :D

anyway, im headed to bed, but to close the round i leave you with my favroite celtics video. Hey, the lakers getting stomped to the music from gladiator? how can i not right?

I think going that approach is going to put you in no man's land; I don't think you should jeopardize the "team of the future" title, since I think you're a long way from being an elite current team.

That being said, I think you should add a handful of veteran leaders.  However, I think the bulk of the team should be guys with a long future ahead of them.

True.

But veteran players that can help them grow doesn't always mean 30+.

Even if it did, imagine how much Grant Hill would help a guy like Amesjay Ardenhay.

Exactly.

Plus, it doesn't hurt to have guys on the team that help the young players grow, then move on as other players, younger players, come in in future years.

15 young guys isn't a recipe for healthy growth.
