Forgot all about him, should go nice with Kobe

yea, thought he was gonna go late 2/early 3.  real happy he lasted.  with him and kobe i think i have a real strong backcourt

I love the Westbrook selection. He was the pg I was looking at; had I been more willing to trade away my opportunity to draft Monta Ellis. It's worth mention that he was the 30th best on the offensive glass last season.

Only thing I don't love about his game

Yeah.  Among all starting point guards, he had the lowest eFG% on jumpers.  (Rondo was second worst).

I expect he'll improve, though.

Usually, I like to shop my pick at this point, but those who have been contacting me know I had a target already planned for this spot and am happily surprised he made it this far.




The Nuggets select Jeff Green

another good "in the future pick" too early otherwise. I like Jeff Green's game. He started off slow last year but really came into his own from 20 games on and filled up the box score. Good pick nevertheless.

He averaged over 16 and 6 while shooting 38% from the outside.  I think he is a player that is being overlooked because of his big star teammate.  On this team, he will now be playing with a strong inside presence. 

Is he gonna play the 3 or the 4?

With Oden and Love, he start and play his natural 3 but is able to play some 4.

The only thing I'd want from Green is more rebounding for his size. 6.7/gm strikes me as a bit low in 36 mpg at 6-9

That said, he saved my fantasy team last year as an 8th round pick

I was hoping Westbrook and Green would fall.  Two very nice young pieces for their teams.  Good drafting this round.

I love Green's intangibles and his jack-of-all-trades game. And at least his scoring (in)efficiency is improving.

If he was a natural PF, I would agree.  But as a SF, I think those are really good numbers.  And considering the rebounding ability of My C and PF, I am happy with his ability to do that.

I also think playing with a more pass first PG will help him cut down on some of those TOs

So do I, although not by leaps and bounds. What's a little more worrying, is that unlike Rondo, he doesn't compensate with an excellent around the basket game.

I imagine a lot of Kobe scowling at the kid while the Hornets get back on defense.

At this point, the team needs to develop Oden into the low post threat that commands double team.  Surrounding him with guys with strong shooting ability is a plus. 


But this team will have to do it on the defensive end right now to be a playoff team.
