Bulls select marc gasol for the Magic

I wonder how the silly spaniard and Emeka are going to get along in the paint. Emeka has always been a 4 that plays like a 5.

Okafor is a 4 that's been asked to play (out of position at) the 5 --- big diff. in our opinion.

We wanted a young, physical C to put alongside Meka.

Nets select Rasheed Wallace

Most of you probably think too high, but the guy I really want I think I can grab with my 4th rounder, and I wasn't sure if Sheed would still be around then.  We'll see how it goes.

CHI trades: the rights to Marc Gasol, 4th rounder (29), and 14th rounder (12)

ORL trades 4th rounder (3), 4th rounder (10), and 10th rounder (4)

That didn't take long.

At least other teams have a good idea of what the pick is worth...

They should, but I am sure there are plenty of teams that will not pay attention to the last price of that pick.

Yep.  Anybody who pays more than a 4, 6, 8 for this pick + a 9 is a sucker.

Especially if someone jumps ahead of him and picks.  Really going down to the wire.

went down to the wire b/c someone :-\ asked for more (not a whole lot, but some) at the very last minute.

I like the pick.  The C position is becoming very slim.  He is more of an offensive threat then Emeka.

I like the potential combo of Brand and Wallace.

TP back to you and Lucky.  And that 14 was just given b/c of time constraints. Knew Roy was going to jump in right at 3:11 for Miami to mess my team up :P

For the record the "someone" mentioned above was not the ORL MAGIC...

I like Okafor a lot, but I'm not sure he has the quickness. Still jury is out, in very limited minutes at the 4 last season he put up good a PER.

I don't like the Gasol / Okafor front line.  Talk about "clogging the lane".  Still, any team with Lebron is doing okay.
