It's basically:

Early 5, mid-9

for

mid-6, late-8, late-8

It's probably not as horrific as we're all making it out to be, but I don't like the value at all.  The 5(1) would have brought a lot more than that; I guarantee somebody (*cough* the CrotoNats *cough*) would have given up a later 5th rounder for that pick.

Just read the trade. I've been busting my butt all day trying all sorts of stuff to get a good and fair deal done and then Miami sends the highest pick in the 5th round to move back two positions in the fourth and get a 6th rounder and an 8th rounder.

I've been offering better value than that in trades all freaking day. Can't some owners petition the commish to veto this. This doesn't seem in the best interest of all the other owners or league.

I don't want a veto, but stuff like this always shocks me.  As much as we advertise, as much as we tell people to shop around, they still take bad deals.

(I don't like vetoes as a philosophical thing.  Unless people are cheating, I think the best GMs should get to take advantage of the weaker ones.)

On the East, I am liking the Nets if Brand returns.

The Knicks have real potential.

Respect any team with Lebron

And the Bulls with the Paul/Gasol pick and roll.

In the West

Supersonics have real win now potential

I like Houston

Buffalo just needs someone to run it.

Kings have some nice balance.

The Commish has already passed this trade.

And it wasn't that much worse than this:
Quote
Denver sends:  8th rounder (3), 8th rounder (4),  10th rounder (4) and a 12th rounder (4)
Bucks sends: 5th rounder (5)
  ;D   Sweet deal by Denver.

Yep.  That Denver-Milwaukee trade is by far the worst we've had thus far, I think.

Yeah I can't believe Denver even sleeps at night anymore. High Altitude notwithstanding.

At least there was a key goal on both sides.

One went Quality, one went Quantity.

(and yes, it was one of four really good trades for me)

Anyone able to read that weird text at the bottom of the post? I dunno what it is, but two things are evident: It is an evil language that has not been spoken in 1,000 years, and 2)Its probably something dirty

It's just the fine print.  The Nugget lawyers made us put it in there.
