Plus, it doesn't hurt to have guys on the team that help the young players grow, then move on as other players, younger players, come in in future years. 


15 young guys isn't a recipe for healthy growth.

Right. Its called staying competitive over long periods of time. I hate when people confuse "puting off rebuiling" and "retooling on the fly" with excellent long term vision, savvy and sound drafting techniques and a little bit of luck. THe former two end up in a slow buy ugly decline from excellence. The last one ends up in dynasties.

So how many of last yr's rookies have been drafted? A lot I believe. I think only one from this year's draft or am I missing someone. I like the Ariza pick. People forget that he is still super young. I think if Vegas adds a defensive center and a point guard that team could be good.

Bulls are still shopping their 4.3 and also willing to trade all three of their picks at the beginning of round 9 to the highest bidder. Right now the highest bid is a 7th rounder. We think essentially three late 8's is worth more than that, but we'll see what the highest bid is...

Glad to see New Orleans active today.

And IP can you name drop anymore?  Though it took a while to word jumble the young guy.

While Denver is looking to the future, they expect to compete for a playoff spot this year.  And with three more picks this week and 4 picks on Monday, they expect to add the pieces need to make the playoffs while growing.


Don't expect every player on the Nuggets to be young. 

Hmm...  I think I'd go in the opposite direction right now.  Oden / Green / Conley, Jr. are still all pretty raw, and I don't think they can be the top three on a playoff team, especially in a fairly stacked league.

Like I said, I have 7 picks in the next 4 rounds.  It will not be hard to add the experience needed to help guide these players. 

I think going that approach is going to put you in no man's land; I don't think you should jeopardize the "team of the future" title, since I think you're a long way from being an elite current team.

That being said, I think you should add a handful of veteran leaders.  However, I think the bulk of the team should be guys with a long future ahead of them.

But veteran players that can help them grow doesn't always mean 30+.

Even if it did, imagine how much Grant Hill would help a guy like Amesjay Ardenhay.

I am pretty happy with my team to this point, all we need now is a little size. I am trying to get a mis of young guys and some guys with experience.Right now I think we are looking good offensively and we have a good point guard who can play on both ends.

having the luxury of knowing who the first pick is tomorrow  , I'm quite happy with my team for having the last pick of the first and two in the mid to late third.

I think that a line up that includes my pick tomorrow will of course be no where near championship level, but it will be in the hunt for an 7th-8th seed, be young and talented, and most of my starting 5 + the top of my rotation will be very enticing to teams at the top looking to improve thier rotation for the stretch run.

I didn't say all teams.  I said some teams.  Teams that might look really good now, but in a couple more rounds, look incomplete.  

And I did have a 1st round pick.  It just was at the end of the 1st round.

Let me guess, you are trying to get more 14th rounder then Nick has 11th rounders?
