Spurs' GM, BigAlTheFuture, is reported to be actively shopping OJ Mayo. They are also looking to move Jeff Foster and Thornton could be traded for the right offer.

That means, presumably, that you traded Scola (since you wouldn't trade Rose) for a SG, let's say Rudy?

Reading the tea leaves, I'm not in love with trading big for small in this game.  There are a lot more good swingmen left than their are bigs.

(Has anybody won a trade with Chicago yet?  Be careful, guys.)

Boxers are still looking to move up into the late 6th exchanging their 7.20 and later picks to do so.

Boxers are still interested in moving into the 8th round using their 9.28.

To compensate I have a bunch of 11ths to negotiate with and apparently one 11th rounder has now had a price set as 4 picks in the lower rounds so lots of value to have.

Well, "lots of value" is a mid-13th, two lesser 13ths, and a 15th.  It's all relative, I suppose, but those are probably not the picks that separate the proverbial men from the boys.

No but it could be the difference between having a quality role player or two and 3-4 NBDL players. I think there will still be quality 7spot-11spot guys for your bench available in rounds 11 and part of round 12 for a team's bench that can contribute.

You must at least feel a little like that is true because it was Portland that set the market by giving up 4 picks to get into the mid 11th.

Yeah, lots is subjective but giving up a 6th rounder to draft 30 picks later while picking up 2 11th rounders is lots of quality in my book. The difference right now between the beginning of the 6th and the end of the 8th isn't all that much, talent wise. I'll be quite happy staying where I am. But I have some specific needs and want specific players so I want to move up to ensure getting them. For a team that already has a 6-7 man rotation moving down a round to pick up a player with tangible bench skills in the 11th might make a lot of sense rather than hoping to get lucky if all they have later in the draft is really, really late picks.

There were only two trades (one pretty minor), but more should be reported this morning.

The ones that went down:

* Portland traded three 13ths and a 15th for an 11th.

* Toronto trades Arenas + 7th for Andre Miller + 9th.

Also, Chicago has reported that it made a deal with the Spurs, which may or may not involve Luis Scola.  Chicago also has a reportedly minor deal in place with Sacramento.

Orlando has also reported that it is waiting for a deal to be announced.
