Don't worry Toronto and Memphis... Gerald and Tony are both still available. I think they do better when they start at the 2 I believe also ;)

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
The Cavaliers select Carl Landry

I really wanted to take this guy but couldn't justify his lack of height.

This is just a publicity stunt by Denver. They're just trying to sell more seats and get more people talking

Denver selects Ming, Yao
I was wondering when he would go, your young team of the future will be that much better in the near future, albeit two years from now.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.
The Cavaliers select Carl Landry

I really wanted to take this guy but couldn't justify his lack of height.

6-9, strong enough to defend centers, and filled in admirably in Yao's absence.  What's not to like as your first big off the bench?  Plus he's only 25 and he went to Purdue, so he's used to blue collar environments like Cleveland.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

Earlier that I'd like him, but good value here. Run on the big man bank, get em while you can!

Nope.  Great plan to add offensive threat in the future.

Even if Ming and Oden can't play together, what do you think teams that were close to winning it all will pay to add a healthy Ming?

With the 6th pick in the Sixth Round The ORLANDO MAGICS select

SG/SF Francisco Garcia

We're ecstatic since we considered him in the 5th round --- Garcia is one of 4 players last year (with Lebron, Wade, Granger) to average 1 blk/1stl/1 3pm; and did it in the fewest minutes/gm.

Except one is only 22 and will only get better and the other will turn 30 this year and is losing a step defensively. Not a huge downgrade imo.

Scola is one my favorite frontcourt players and so I'm not going to knock the trade.

But let's not go overboard on the Prince revisionism. "Losing a step?" I haven't seen any evidence myself, and anyway doubt that his game is predicated on foot speed. Though I'd be interested in hearing the counter-argument.? His defensive PER has held steady. He's one of the best perimeter defenders in the league, with a 7'2" wingspan. He's tough, he's difficult to shot over, he's even more difficult to drive around, he's great in transition, he's great on the switch. He's also a winner over the course of his career, with a championship and a ton of playoff experience that can't or shouldn't be easily discounted.

Chandler is a significant downgrade.
