There was some talk about us trading for Andres Nocioni after he was originally sent to Sacramento, we just didn't want to include Powe or Baby. In retrospect, should have made that deal.

Nocioni key stats:: Chicago season/SAC season/Career

PPG: 10,4/13,7/11,9
RPG: 4,2/6,0/ 5,1
FG%: 414/448/438
3FG%: 378/441/373

Now with us allegedly being in third place for Grant Hill, why not revisit Nocioni? He's still pretty young at only 29, he doesn't have the best contract ever, making 8 million a year, but his contract is rare that it actually depreciates in value over the seasons. He can fill multiple needs for this team; Size, can spell Pierce, can play the four in a similar fasion to James Posey did for us, and he can shoot the three at a good mark.

Now for those you don't want him because he's a soft European... He isn't from Europe. He's from Argentina, and Noc is far from soft.

If he can be had for our expiring contracts, Danny really needs to get him, I see him as a better choice than Hill.

I second that, and I like the idea.

We´re already out of the 2010 FA market anyway.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

I'd be all over getting Nocioni, but what do we give up for him?! I don't think we have what it takes. Legit suggestions to get it done?!

I think we lost out on Noc for 2 reasons:
1Ainge was still thinking (wanting to prove) that we could win with our awesome starting 5 plus minimum role players (Scal, Tony, BBD)
2Ainge didn't want to take on such a contract of 8mil per year

BUT, after a game 7 defeat to Orlando and only 2/3 of the big 3 plus part of our "role playing bench", I think Ainge understands this time around that the window of championships is closing in and its time to spend the money.

I really like Scal, but his contract can be really useful if we can't S&T BBD. If I'm not mistaken though, I think Sac is under the salary cap, so couldn't they eat the other half of BBD's contract by the BYC...

S/t BBD to a 3 year 6 mil contract. Trade Tony Allen and Scalabrine
BBD(after BYC)3 mil + Tony 2.5 + Scal 3.4 = 9 mil (12 after BYC)

Sac sends over Nocioni (AND/OR) S/T Bobby Jackson vet min

Rondo, Jackson, Hudson, Pruitt    *Forget Marbury at this point
Ray, House, Giddens
Pierce, Nocioni, Walker
KG, Powe
Perk, Sheed                 *Resign Moore as 5th string Big man
Can't stop, Rondo!

Along with this, I like the idea of Marco Belinelli. A true CoMbo guard.
I think he could run the point behind Rondo but also keep House on the floor at SG(offense only)

Do you think Marbury could go to GS for Belinelli?

Why not trade for Tim Thomas he wants to come here, if we don't get Hill he could be SF if we do a PF he's 6'10 plays 3 positions and can hit the 3, what's not to like?
