Well, it's not like it is definite because he is restricted, but if they get anywhere near the MLE then we can all say: buh-bye.

Good call. That would be awesome, if the C's anted up and matched the deal.

I'm convinced that Tanguay doesn't understand what a restricted free-agent means.

Is is true or is it just some speculation from Tanguay? :o

I have a hard time believing the Spurs are going to offer the full MLE to BBD.

Well Tanguay must have a serious insider with the C's. I'm speculating here, but maybe he was told they can't pay Sheed, Hill AND BBD, so BBD is a goner.

Better contract than we are offering. That would be the reason.

if this is true, then i think we definitely need to re-sign Leon. the reason being that we will be signing Big Baby's replacement with the vet minimum and that's not going to get you a player anywhere near the level of Baby.

at least with Leon, there is the chance he comes back this season and returns to his form.

Yeah, well, I'm taking for almost granted that Hill will sign with us, according to Tanguay, so I must admit the BBD news is probably true... don't know how I feel about that, I'm disappointed, that's for sure, but at the same he wouldn't get many playing time with Sheed on the team.
