I would be okay with these two, but after all the Sheed talk, I would be a little disappointed. Maybe we can add a reserve 5 as well or trade for an upgraded player to our current bench.

I am hoping to add at least one vet under 30 this off-season.

I'd be very happy. I'd prefer McDyess because I think he's a better fit to come off the bench.

No but do you think that Hill and McDyess is better than Hill and Sheed. I don't. Mcdyess clearly does'nt want to come to Boston or he would have last year and if he did want to come here Danny would be courting him this season if he thought he was a better fit and he is'nt. I just think McDyess does'nt like Boston and won't come here to play.

hill and sheed off the bench??? wow...and sheed gives us options if perk misses anytime due to his shoulder...hill and sheed would be the ideal FA combo

Hell no, but with McDyess, you basically HAVE to bring in another good center because he really is a true PF and isn't great guarding the 5 spot. I'd hate to see Perk go down for any portion of time with only Dyce or KG being your backup center to put into the starting rotation.

exactly...sheed can play BOTH the 4 and 5 which is HUGE for the boston bench..plus he gives howard fits....and grant hill would allow PP to get good rest...imagine a seond unit of

marbury
eddie
grant hill
baby
sheed

wow that second unit would be GREAT

That would be a great second unit. Sign Oberto, Resho, or Swifty for vet min for insurance.

Do you really think the C's will match a full MLE offer given to Baby if they also give a full MLE to Sheed? I'm not so sure Danny has that much in this budget although I really hope he does.

I kinda doubt it. I think Danny sees an undersized guy close to the limit of his (tremendous upside) potential and wants another value guy for that second big off the bench. Somebody like...Big Baby but still on his rookie contract. Be more than a few of those floating around come August.

no chance Danny will give BBD a MLE type salary. I can't see the C's going past $3 mill or $10 mill for 3 yrs.

Maybe Wilcox will take MLE if Baby gets overpaid.

BBD should be our backup 4/5 if we sign McDyess. Works for me, he is at minimum an average defender at the 5.

And to the OT: No. Actually, I would heavily prefer McDyess. Phoenix can keep Hill.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

I'm assuming Wilcox is an LLE guy rather than MLE. But maybe I'm misreading the market for him.

Is it true that since we have the bird rights on Davis, we don't have to use the MLE to sign him?
