  • Anything is possiblllleeeee!!!!!
According to sources Wallace said he wouldn't make his decision "quickly"? What do you guys think the time table would be?

And, as CB said on SC, no other team would be willing to offer him more than the MLE, so what is making his decision so difficult??? I feel like it's a no brainer for him, unless his wife is pushing him away from Boston (see: Texiera).

Years my friend. If Sheed gets two teams that really want him he can squeeze a three yr contract, maybe four. I think the C's will eventually offer 3, but Sheed will sign elsewhere. Not trying to be pessimistic. Just going with my gut (the in vogue term).

I think with the news of Artest joining the Fakers, he will sign on quickly. He wants to be in an EPIC Fakers VS C's Finals.

My guess is a few weeks at least.

can we really afford to wait a few weeks while all the top FA's get signed and then we lose out on sheed and are left with garbage, like last summer?

The way LA and Cleveland are stockpilin weapons, We're gonna need alot more than Sheed to even think about the finals next year.

Meh.

Disagree.  With Sheed, we're better than Orlando and Cleveland by a mile when healthy.  No one else is even in the picture as far as I'm concerned.

Lakers are the only team that looks to be anywhere near us right now.

I think Sheed wants to be one a champion during this last contract.

I think Sheed would prefer to start on said championship team.

I think Sheed knows he isn't going to get more than the MLE and wants the longest contract possible.

So as much as Sheed is friends with KG, let's remember, friends have nothing to do with business decisions. If Sheed can get a starting position for more than 2 years for either San Antonio or Cleveland, no amount of friendship with KG is going to get him to come to Boston for 2 years and coming off the bench.

If Sheed takes more money (yrs) to go elsewhere I wonder if fans will be as cool with Sheed about his "business decision" as they are with Danny for his "business decision" not to offer Powe the minimum. If the Celtics are all just "business" why should we expect Sheed to leave money on the table?

With Artest going to the Lakers we need Sheed. I think Marbury with a year under his belt and the attitude he showed last year could be one of the better bench players. Plus Eddie, and Big Baby who is young and will only get better we have to have one of the better benches in the league. Without sheed not so much.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Yeah, with Artest going to the Lakers we need to sign Sheed, Big Baby and a good wing player.  I hope he doesn't take weeks to make a decision while all the good free agents dry up. :(

This is my worry as well.  We might not even get Sheed.

Things aren't looking great at the moment.
