Kobe & Artest have mutual respect. The rich just got richer, major upgrade over Ariza.

Most teams that have counted on Ron Artest have been burned.  I have a hunch that the main reason he was so well behaved last year was because he knew he had to be to get paid this summer.  With a long term guaranteed contract he might go back to his old antics.  The problem though is that Phil Jackson usually knows how to handle guys like him.  [dang] Lakers!!!

They have the ability to sign Odom as well?!

[dang], that makes this whole thing scarier.

Good for the lakers, that was a smart pick-up by them.

Rondo > Fisher
Ray   < Kobe
PP    = Artest
KG    > Pau
Perk  > Bynum

We still have the best starting 5 in the league. If we sign Sheed and BBD and a legit wing we will have one of the best benches in the league too

For some reason Artest on the Cavs scared me more. I think the C's will be fine IF they sign Sheed (or Odom)

Ron Artest tells CBSSports.com's Ken Berger that he's on his way to LA... details to come.
Has Artest signed with LA?

Or is he just visiting them to hear their offer?

Maybe its just my celtic bias but I would put
Pierce>Artest

But only slightly.

Lets see this reported other places because last night Artest's manager said someone had made a fake twitter account and fooled a bunch of the media about Ron's intentions

It's hard to be objective. I'm sure Laker fans would say that Gasol is now equal or better than KG based on age and injuries.

lakers are'nt soft all of a sudden. this is why i can't believe people in boston would rather the lakers winning than the cavs. even if some are in minnesota, if the lakers have ecven one less title than us they will be known as the most storied franchise in the nba. NOT THE CELTICS.i never want to see or hear this!!!! just like phil jackson is known as the greatest coach ever now because toolbags like mark jackson keep repeating it and repeating it and repeating it. THE LAKERS ARE GROSS AND EVIL. i think i hate jerry west most of all. piece of sh*t. b.s. trade.
