Pretty cool thing actually...

Among the many interesting things I was at the Maker Fair nothing stood out in my mind as much as the enormous humanoid statues. They were part of a project called Crude Awakening and they were made to symbolize the need to find an alternative fuel source. There were three statues around the park and each of which were engaged in a different type of prayer. They towered to a massive 24 feet and were made completely out of twisting pieces of cable and rebar. The statues were originally made for burning man and since their debut they have been traveling to all kinds of fairs and gatherings. In Burning man the statues were assembled around an Oil Derrick and they appeared to watch as it the Oil Derrick harvested the last of the worlds remaining fossil fuels. Because the massive 97 foot Oil Derrick couldn’t fit in the San Mateo fair grounds, the Crude Awakening team rigged one of the statues with pyrotechnics. The statue would randomly burst in to flames and catch any passers eye. At night the fairground was illuminated by the light of the smoldering statue.

On a related note real Celtic female fans are super hot to me. No offense to sexyscottish, but his wife was pretty cute in "Return to the Rafters" I think it had something to do with her being a C's fan. I guess she had to though. lol.
