Scal, Tony, future second

for

Dooling, Najera

Scal, Pruitt, Walker, Giddens, 2nd rounder

for

Dooling, Najera

For NJ, they're clearly shedding long term money and building assets. With either deal they'd save .5-1 million this year and about 13 million in long deals while picking up an extra pick and possibly a wing prospect or two. Additionally, Najera doesn't play much, and they have Allston and Harris at the point.

For Boston, it would be about adding Dooling, a guy that can come in off the bench and defend the 1 or 2.

Of course, if a deal like Scal + 2nd rounder or Tony+ Walker or Giddens for Dooling gets it done, just do that and save the other expiring deals.

I like Keyon Dooling a lot but he's not really what we need, so I wouldn't want to trade away our young wing guys with "potential" (walker, giddens) just to get a combo guard and Najera.

I'm under the impression (based on ShamSports info), that both Dooling and Najera have partially or non-guaranteed contracts beyond this season, so there's little financial motivation for the Nets to do this deal.
