I doubt very many of you know me, Im brand new the CelticsBlog but I have been part of the 2K Sports Forums for a very long time and happen to be a Moderator on there. With that being said, Im one of the most die hard Celtic fans you will ever come across. With that being said:

My thoughts on the free agency.

Guys like Lamar Odom, Trevor Airza, Ron Artest, Chris Anderson are not going to be suiting up in green so forget about them.

Rasheed Wallace: obviously people are aware of rumours that he is interested in joining with the Boston Celtics, despite the fact that there was a rumour prior to this one saying that "he will not do Boston". No doubt this helps Boston Celtics and will make them very hard to beat if healthy, but my concern is will he be happy coming off the bench because Kendrick Perkins and Kevin Garnett are locked in and I'm not sure if Doc Rivers will split the Center position between them two. His antics are a gamble but he will help and he would be my number one target.

Shawn Marion: a better version of James Posey, but struggles to play in a half court game and does not like the idea of taking less shots. Although he'll be a great back up for Paul Pierce and even Ray Allen. However I'm not sure if they could get him for the full mid-level exception.

Antonio McDyess: Danny Ainge has tried to get him before and although he said he wanted to stay in Detroit, it now appears he prefers a contender instead. He could be the best economical choice as they would also be able to bring in another player under the mid-level exception. Great veteran presence and a reliable player down low.

Grant Hill: I've always been a fan of his game. He is a very efficient shooter and has a great all-round game and was arguably the Phoenix Suns' best defender last season. Steve Kerr has gone mental over in the dessert and I doubt he'll look to hang on to Grant Hill. I'm certain the Boston Celtics will make a pitch. He would be a great fit for them playing behind Paul Pierce.

Zaza Pachulia: a reliable big man who can help Boston Celtics on the defensive end. More importantly he is a big which can give Kevin Garnett support and he adds quality size. I think he can grow well under Boston's defensive atmosphere.

Anthony Parker: I wouldn't mind him but I don't think the Boston Celtics need him as much as they need a big, and he's more of a SG than a SF. He does not solve the Boston Celtic's problems/holes.

Jason Kidd: long shot, and not really needed especially with Stephon Marbury making his intentions of wanting to stay more clear this off-season - he better produce this time round though! - so Jason Kidd will probably take his game where he can get another starting role.

Drew Gooden: does a good job on the boards and can get a good amount of clean up points but there are other available PF's that I would prefer at this point in time.

I don't mind Chris Wilcox, Matt Barnes, Marquis Daniels, Dahntay Jones and Jamario Moon either.

Overall: A solid off-season would be if the Boston Celtics could get both Grant Hill and Antonio McDyess signed up - seeing that neither will be asking for the full mid-level as Rasheed Wallace and Shawn Marion will be.

Moreover, both will be happy to come off the bench, and that question mark remains on the other two sought after free agents.

In final, Shawn Marion, Rasheed Wallace, Antonio McDyess, Grant Hill - if one of these or a combination of these players are brought on board I will pre-order my Boston Celtics vs LA Lakers finals tickets.

I mostly agree.  I wonder if Lamar Odom leaving LA will have an impact on their team, if any.  I know he's 'soft' and considered an underachiever but his talent and height are undeniable and gave LA a huge height mismatch advantage when they can throw guys like Bynum, Gasol, and Odom at other teams.
