Danny just said this morning they will still try to sign him next month...

So why are we acting like over emotional people?

Leon Powe was indeed "The Show" here in Boston, and I pray the show's going to re-open mid season. Thanks Powe, and let me be the first to say your "Game 2 of the finals" performance wasn't a "fluke" like most people say.
True Celtic = Leon Powe

Bring back the show!!!!

Just a rough and tough hard nosed player.  He just went out there and did his thing.  Great teamate, and player.  Hope he recovers.

[dang], I just saw the news on the frontpage, it really sucks, and especially Leon's quotes, he seems really "stunned" and I understand him, it's a depressing news, especially after all he has done for the Celtics and his great bonds with Doc and the team.

Hopefully this is not the end of Leon in Boston, it sounds like it right now but I still have hope that he will come back. At least Danny should make a move for Leon at the end of the summer.

they will sign him to a minimum, rehab him and save him for the playoffs...around the trade deadline they will dump scal and tony allen for a big time player and bring leon back for the playoffs

In case any of you missed his childhood story and how he beat the odds check this out:

Unbelievable.  I will miss you Leon.  Get that knee rehabbed and make Danny regret not being able to sign you on the cheap.

Remember that Phoenix game where he ended up on the floor and he shot the ball while on his knees?

I still remember one of the opponents players looking back forth between coach and ref asking if that was legal!

Powe will always have my respect.

Best of luck to him. He's a very talented player and an even better person who's had just about every hurdle thrown in his way. I wish him the best.
